Man, i tell you what, i thought about gettin rid of my baby for a 350Z. Then I won the hotchkis swaybars, and said dayum, my car is gonna handle even better when I get these on and get that ST off. Then I thought about the over 5K in mods I put into the damn thing, and the hopeful turbo that is comin out from WC toyota, and I said phuckit, I have a 200 celica with 20,000 miles on it. I have a nice car, and I should be happy I have this baby. Besides, I may not have another car that handles like this for a while.
Its funny that it took the hotchkis sways to sway me back to my celica :gap:

I might trade mine in sooner than later. It'll be at 50,000 miles in a few months, that means it's almost time for maintainence - things like brake pads and another oil change....
If I get me old car on the road soon ('73 Celica) then we might trade the new one in when we get a truck or SUV (Tundra or Sequoia), then we can tow the old car to the races.
Shortly after we would start looking for another car, not sure what, it dependes on the family situation. I'd really like an E36 M3 4 door. Family car that rocks! But with a Sequoia in the garage a Z3 might be an option, who knows? RX8 maybe (probably not, not enough torque).
I am feeling like I want a car with some better low end torque, and the BMW's offer that, not to mention a straight 6 jus tsounds good.

I think what I really need is a "project car". Right now my Celica is my daily driver, and it kind of sucks because I have to worry more about reliability / warantee etc. Hopefully I will find a job soon so I can buy a house, then I will pick up something to be my "work in progress" and I will return my celi to stock.

too late.
i was debating on trading my auto gt for a six-speed gts & decided against just because i didn't want to take any monetary losses. when i was thinking about the trade i started to realize that if i wanted to go for a project car, i'd probably get a VW jetta gti hatchback and work from that...or just wait a couple of years until i can afford the m3 or s4 or any other 250/300HP+ banging car :)

Come Auxter, with a Sequoia in the garage, get the E36 M3 2door! What do you need the family car for at that point?

350Z will be on sale between August and September, although most of the first sales will probably be preorders and it will be hard to get one for a while. Also, dealer markups are reaching $5k in some cases, although other dealers are selling for MSRP. It'll probably be a good while before they sell under that or are widely available.
The base model is just under $27k, actually. You miss out on cruise control, though. Also no HIDs and possibly no LSD, although I'm not sure about that. It's otherwise well-equipped, I believe.

I want to sell it and get something cheaper plus a nice bike now.
Or wait till I graduate and sell it and use it as down payment for a nicer car.
Anyhow, I won't be keeping this car forever.

NEVER! I love this car way too much, even if it is an auto. If anything, I may buy a new car in the far, but still keep my Celica since it has a sentimental value to me.

I think about it at times. I've entertained the thought of getting a Tacoma DoubleCab, Rav4 or Frontier CrewCab, but I don't want to lose $10K on a car right now. I think I'm keeping this car forever, saving up for Med school is a little more important right now.

a lot of the GT auto owners want to trade in for 5-spds. gee i wonder why :gap:
i want to trade in for a WRX, or 325i, but due to monetary problems, im going to have to live with my gt auto for awhile... trading in usually results in loss for the person trading in.... and my parents are adamantly against it, but so goes life, and i dont need a new car... this one is fine for me. chicks dig it! :gap:

I wanna trade it too, only if I get a Supra TT, MR2T or Spyder. Other than that I'll hold on to it!

The more I think about it and the more power my friends are getting out of their turbo cars the more i want to get a used Supra TT. I'm thinking i could find a decent one but then I'm also thinking i'll miss the reliablility and mileage and handling of the celica. Maybe when i'm more towards the 50,000 mile mark when celicas tend to blow up...

I thought about it but i would never do it. thought about the new altima v6 with torque. I think they look great with the spoiler and the lights and the car in silver. I started thinking about it cause i drive my parent's lincoln v8 ls auto to church and stuff and the torque is awesome! feels so different than the celi but i love the handling of the celi and i'ts so beautiful. I always get stares everywhere:)
