4-wheelin' mokes on the freeway...

Any of you ever get punked out by mokes in huge trucks on the freeway? You know, the kind of truck they pack a whole bunch of them in because only one friend has a car and they all can't fit in the cab, so four of them have to ride in the back?

I was coming home from the shop at about 2AM on Friday, and passing by the Pearl Country Club on the freeway heading towards Pearl City, when a truck full of mokes came from the far right lane and started pacing my car. I needed to get into the far right lane to take my cutoff coming up shortly, so knowing they were there and potentially trying to start something, I accelerated slowly to try and get in front of them to pass. They kept pace, so I slowed down trying to get behind them to get over, and they slowed down as well to 45-50 mph on the freeway. I looked over to the right to see all the mokes in the cab and rear hanging over looking, and started to think that they were gonna start chucking beer bottles pretty soon. I got fed up, thinking there was no way around it, so I just downed it to 3rd and stretched 'em.

I stretched the top of 4th gear because they nailed the gas too, so I know I was going pretty fast. I made a lane change near the exit as soon as I was well clear of ppl there... but I know that the ppl on the freeway must have seen what went on and thought, "damned street racers." The truck tried to keep up, and then went racing past me when I slowed when I finally got into the exit lane with mokes all giving out the finger.

What the fuck is so fun about making trouble to one person in a smaller car, especially if the car is obviously faster than your MUV (Moke Utility Vehicle)?

I was pretty pissed for awhile after. What do you do in this kind of situation? Can you call the cops or what? Nailing the gas in 3rd prolly wasn't my safest and best option, but what the hell else can you do when this happens? I figured that even if I missed my cutoff, they were eventually gonna take it to another level.

I couldn't get behind them to get the plate number too.

Seems like in maryland everyone owns a truck and wants to box little cars in. It happens to me at least once a day, it sucks but what can you do. And if you would call the police around here, they would take the other drivers word since they seem to think anyone in a little japanese car does nothin but race up and down the streets all day long(thanks to ricers)

Just pull over and stop for a few minutes. But then you would still have the chance of them stopping I guess.

i've had that happen to me before too! i swear people with big ass trucks think they own the whole freakin freeway or something! when i try to get in front of them they just speed up and when i slow down they slow down too.. mother ferz. one time i just stopped bc there's like no one on the freeway and got behind them .. and they like totally went 30 MPH on the freeway. talk about being a ****in *******!

That's happened to me so many times. These guys were doing that when I was in my friend's car on Kalanianaole, and they started chucking beer bottles at us. So my friend started weaving in and out of traffic to get away. He then found a cop in a parking lot so he pulled over and told em what happened, and then right after those punks drove by yelling and giving the finger, so the cop went after them and caught them.

i always use my windshield fluid =P like when people tail me.. with their beautifully clean black cars or if it's clean period... i freakin wash my windows for a good half a minute.. and u know how my sprayers are.. they go right over my car hahaaa... and if i were to let it go long enough the people next to me would get wet too.. evil huh? that's how i am =P they deserve it all for tailing me.. it's not nice to tail people

That happened to my Ex which I think is f**ked to do to a girl. There was broken glass in her car but luckily she wasn't hurt at the time. She ended up having to go to court and the guys got jail time.

I don't understand why mokes don't have better things to do rather than torment innocent people.

Reminds me of a couple of months ago when a red nissan crew cab came REAL close to my rear bumper just off the H-3. He honked his horn and threw something at my car. He was so close I couldn't see his plates, much less his face after we started moving.

I used to treat all drivers the same but now I get real cautious around trucks.

A bunch of us were driving down to HRP, and some moke followed Kevin who was the last car. When we were driving into the entrance, the moke got out of his car and walked up to Kevin's car and punched him. Then when Russ tried to help he went after him too.

...all while his moke wife was yelling in the background about something. Kev was pretty traumatized.

I've had people in everything but sports cars act-up with me. I think that all this negative publicity about sport compacts is getting back to us. It's no wonder, the news doesn't like to report about the trucks, vans, etc. that cause accidents on the roads.

Wow, after hearing all the stories about how this happens to girls, I'm honestly shocked. There are some REAL assholes out there, and I pity them for being so weak that they have to pick on girls that way.

I actually didn't have anything bad happen with that situation other than a bout of irritation. I put some pretty good distance between my car and theirs in 3rd gear. I hope they get theirs one day tho... it's ppl like that that shouldn't be on the road at all.
