Island on Friday for those interested

Just thought I would post here that if anyone is interested, i will be heading up to Island Dragway for Friday Night Street races. Would be nice to see some Celica's up there. If you see a white sh!tbox 1G Talon, stop on over and say hi.

I'll be there. I'm not racing especially since my car shakes pretty bad from about 60mph and up. But if anyone goes and you don't see the talon just look for the Silver Celi with the RMM kit and Konig Verdicts.

Mark, that was a while ago wasn't it? That along with his 11.8 second run. Have you been hanging with them at all at Dunkin Donuts in Union? starting to get nice out. I'll porbably head up there a couple times.

Yeah your mom. I told you my car is a show car. That's why it's an Auto. So you can blow your's up at the track and I can just sit at a show with mine and stare at half naked women all day. So who wins that one. I would say it's a tie. You can go faster then me but I can beat you at a car show. Yeah it's not really the same but who cares. Mine looks nicer then yours.

Yeah I know I'm getting the EVO but then I need to mod it and learn how to drive it. So he still says he'll whoop my a$$. But even with me not knowing how to drive stick I still think that I can beat his ass. Just remember Rich 11 second car 13-14 second driver. Depending on if you can shift into the right gear.

The only info I know is what everyone else knows. And the latest is in SCC for this month. But I would say if you want more info try going up to Salerno Mitsubishi and see if they know anything.

I think I may. And when I do it I'll turn the headlights off and just drive down the track with the underbody neons on.

And Rich let's just wait and see Friday. I'm guessing 13.89 not 12.89. The car may see the 12 if Nate drives it. As for the Evo lets just wait and see. And if you really want to truly race then bring it to the new Englishtown road course. I know for damn sure my car can out handle yours. Just remember the off ramp of 80.

As for Englishtown... bring it. Next paycheck I get my full suspension and after that we will see what happens on the road course.

So who was at Island? I saw a bunch of Celica's. Didn't get a chance to talk to anyone though. It was packed! Saw a orange one with flames. Sweet stereo. Ran 15.6 or 15.8 or something. Anyone fom this board? Almost got beat by my friends Minivan!

As for me, I did it. 12s!!! I am so happy now. Just wanted to post, see if anyone from this board made the trip.

ye i was there, dint see you run 12's tho i see you run some 13's, i so a black talon run 12's tho, it had freeking frank 5 runing at 30 psi that engin was sick :D :D :D, my bro was racing the blue mp3 :D

Yeah, I only ran twice. 1st run was a 13.4@103 with a crappy launch and a lot of knock. That black Talon ended up running an 11.8@128 with traction problems. Full weight street car. His best with it was 11.2@130 a couple weeks ago. he is going for 10s soon.

That black talon was sick. And his best for Friday night that I saw was 11.25@128. I'm still impressed with that Mustang that was running 10's. And the fact that because the races were called Fast and Furious all the ricers had to show up. I don't think I'll be going to any more "Fast and Furious" nights anymore.
