I took off my bumper to do some work a while back and when I put my bumper back on I had these gaps between the front bumper and the front body panels. I have since seen cars with the gap (including new ones) and those that were tight (like mine used to be). Anybody have some thoughts on this gap and how to make it tight again?

Looks normal to me. Mine has a small gap there. You could probably make it smaller by bending the lip of the front fender up slightly so that the clip is located higher, thus pulling the gap closed.

my looks like freshmeat's.... you just have to replace that white clip to make the gap smaller....

actually I tried that and it was the same...I also tried bending the lip of the front bumper and it helped a little but its still not back to normal.

You know no one even notices these things except us, right? I pointed it out to my girlfirend once and she still didn't see it. :D

Yeah that's true, my gap looks like the grand canyon to me but everyone else doesn't even notice it.

:werd: It's just one of those things. Not many other people notice the small things like that though, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I let my "ex" boyfriend drive my car in WPB once. He parked it, and I told him to move it over cause it was too close to the car next to us. "Naw, youre just paranoid". So we went and had lunch, and he drove us back to his apt. As I was walking around the drivers side, I noticed a dent in the door. As I looked closer, I noticed the entire back panel had been "kicked" in. So I asked "so I guess this completely slipped your line of sight?". He didn't like that I blamed him for not moving the car over and then not seeing the 2'x1' dent until I pointed it out to him...I think I made him cry:wtc:

Oh, and I don't think "regular" people call it paranoid; I think the call it "anal-retentive":chuckles:

Haha, so true.

This is why I never let my G/F or anyone drive my car. Thanks God they don't know how to drive manual either, that helps too. Man, I hate handing over the keys for oil changes, inspections, car washes, etc. You never know. :(

Even my dad, managed to damage my car twice (wasn't his fault). He may be family, but he's never driving my car again. :D
