Tire size

If I have wheels that are 17x7, will 215 or 225 size tire fit? Currently I have 205 40.

215/40 and 215/45 will both fit fine and be close to the right diameter.

225/40 (only one manufacturer, Nitto 555) and 225/45 (lots of choices) will also fit fine.

225/40-17 is the same diameter as stock.
