Hi All,

I have been out of the Celica search for about a year. I was wondering what have people been paying for their GT Auto, lately? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you, everyone.

kuruptgt, besides the power issue, is there a reason not to buy auto. Do you know of problems with the auto?

I don't understand on why people saying there is no fun with the auto. It really depends on you. I drive an auto, and I have so much fun driving with it. Just go with your feeling. Don't force yourself in buying a manual car 'cuz others do. Buy it 'cuz you like it.

I have an auto and I love it. It is so easy to push it to redline in every gear too. I payed 17k and some change for my 2002 GT new. And don't worry about power being an issue. Sure, you lose some power, but not much. I got mine up to 115 once and just hit 4th gear before chickening out. I am confident that I could have pushed my car past 125.

The problem with the auto is that the gearing doesn't maximize the full potential of the engine. Get a manual, there are so many people on this board that would tell you "I'd wish I would have gotten a manual."

How bout test driving a manual and auto celica and see which you like better? Too bad I never learned manual in drivers ed, but I'm completely happy with my auto gt.
