Best Swirl Remover?

I have heard good things about 3M Swirl Mark Remover, there is one for light and dark color cars.

I'll be trying Meguiar's Scratch X this weekend because the local shop was out of the 3M.

Meguires works well, but afterwards, using a good wax out of direct sunlight and on a cool surface, will prevent future swirlmarks.

would red be considered a dark color or a light color?
