I was really busy today and didn't have time to fill up my tank. I was driving around for 30 miles or so with no ticks left on the gas guage. Anyone ran theirs dry...?

I just dont understand why anyone would ever run out of gas. It takes less than 5 minutes to fill 'er up. It should be one of the most important things you do for your car....

doesnt running out of gas spew all the crap at the bottom of ur gas tank into ur injectors and engine and jack up everything?

if you run out of gas then you can get a CEL since you'd be running lean in some of your cylinders... its not good for the car so dont do it... do you really want a 20,000 BJ

I think he was asking indirectly how long you can run with no ticks, and if anyone has ever ran out of gas.

you guys do realize that if you actually run out of gas while driving you have a pretty good chance of burning up your fuel pump, right??
dont be lazy!

I think it's a general thing with toyota's (and maybe other cars, i dunno) that you get around 50km's after the fuel light during normal highway driving conditions, not that your fuel light should ever come on anyway :)
