I agree with Barabaika, there's many Daihatsus right now being considered as next gen Scion models. I wouldn't be surprised if that is one of the next Scion models in the next few years. It's small/affordable looking, it'd be a hit with girls.

Daihatsu Copen... Japan's teeming with those "Scion" looking cars for nearly a decade now. Looks like a modernized Suzuki Cappuccino. If you think thats ugly, there are more (i.e. Subaru REX and Honda Cube) They've got some cool looking mini-vans over there (not talking about those tricked out vans with bazillion neons lights and chrome all over).

I hate the Z3 too but its not as bad as that thing, maybe that Z3 coupe thing, that's ugly....but I like the new Z4s. This car is way too rounded, looks like those things kids play with and peddle with there feet.

Actually, I've seen a video of a Yashio Factory tuned Vitz RS, and this was driven on a togue (downhill twisties). Seemed like a pretty good tuning base... the stock Vitz 1.5L VVT-i was Blitz S/C'd to 160ps, Cusco 1-way LSD, and adjustable springs and dampers. And it probably has good torque from the factory on the low end (just like my friend's xB), because it sure sounded like it. Not that fast, but, if tuned, looks fun-to-drive.
