I probably got them a year ago so they are basically new, i switched out the stock wipers and put on the ones my dad gave me. i was just wondering is it the wiper refill that makes it skip? or is it the whole wiper assembly? thanks

Probably a crappy set of blades. I once got a set brand new from Toyota, and they skipped the first time I used them. :thumbdown Then I got PIAA silicone blades, and haven't had any wiper problems since. They also deposit a bit of silicone on the windshield, so water beads off like if you were using RainX. :)

So you're saying it's just the rubber refills that suck? Because i don't want to buy the whole wiper blade assembly. I was thinkin of getting PIAA wiper blades but $60-70 is too much for windshield wipers imo.

depends on where you live as Wiper Blades are recommended to be replaced every 6 mths. most likely in places w/Four Seasons or rainy cities i.e. Seattle

got a set of TriCo that haven

$60-70 for blades? That is ridiculous.

Here's some silicone blades(whole assembly) for $22 with a 5 year unconditional guarantee.

no, i don't use them when it's dry, it's just here in So. Cal it can rain whnever it wants to. So i just find it really annoying to use em while they skip.

Also, for the PIAA blades i meant $60-70 for the set of 3, so basically those are the same price. But thanks for the link.

But when they're guaranteed for 5 years, it's cheaper in the long run. Don't really need a silicone one on the rear.

Even when just getting cheapies, I'll buy the whole blade rather than mess with inserts. It's only a couple dollars more with the stuff you find in walmart and autozone and such.

The PIAA refills are only around $7 each, and worth every penny. :) If your wiper blades are still in good condition (no rust or bends), there's no reason to replace them.

Just a few bucks for an entire blade of the type I'm talking about.

or you could just go to autozone and pick up some coo ass blades. I did and they work great in the rain, no problems since.
