ok look i got accepted for a sponsorship with sport compact for $12,000 but its been bout 5 weeks already and i still have not gotten nothing in the mail do you think something happened or dose it take a while?

Isn't that the scam thats been going on for a few years where your "sponsorship" is really just a slight discount on a select few parts and accessories adding up to $12,000? Something like that anyway.

Now...why would YOU pay to be sponsored? Isn't the whole point that the sponsor thinks your car is a good way to advertise and THEY want to pay for the mods in return for you showing the car with THEIR products and THEIR name?

man well that sux oh well i called and talked and they said some bs bout paper work got held back and if it is not in this week then to callnext week and ask for tammey and she will tell me were bout it is at. but its a scam they are not going to pay for all my parts i just get disscounts on parts till it adds up to 12,000 ??? cause if so im screwed huh??

hey I work for a home theater installation company and this morning when I went to the warehouse to pick up the speakers they gave me 2 of everything. I already installed and I am trying to dump these speakers before I get back to the warehouse. I'll take any reasonable offer, I am just looking for some beer money. Noone has asked yet why a scam like this was running on the top of this website?

I feel bad for you man, you got worked. I would file a complaint to at least stop them from suckering other people.

Not sure. I think that they just get random ads flying through here, so they may not even know. Someone should look into it.

Did you pay on your credit card? You could deny the charges if you did.

I highly doubt that the banner clicked was on the TOP of the site. The banners on the top are SPONSORS ONLY.

The banners that appear on the BOTTOM are by Google AdSense, which makes ads appear that have some relationship at what's being said on the page being viewed, but those links are NOT sponsors of Nc.org. I think you clicked one of the banners on the bottom.

Yeah, I see that turbo-charge for 70 bucks ad alot on the bottom. Can't really control those.

you can be positive all you want, I can guarantee you 100% that you are incorrect. All of the ads at the top of the site are paying sponsors. The banner ads that rotate have all been added to the site by me and are hosted by me. There is nothing like what you speak of.

Secondly, you should seriously read all the fine print on anything like this before you send in your money. I'm sure they probably spelled it out in plain english but you were to excited at the thought of getting sponsors. Fact is this is not the first company to do this and it is perfectly legal.

that's pretty shady. first you say you're positive the ad was at the top, and now you say you believe larry about it not being at the top? it's not exactly a pressing issue, but like i said, it makes you look pretty shady.

I'm not an engineer (well, yes I am but it sounds better if I start like that), but when I give ANYONE money, I know who, what, when, where, and WHY...I keep track of all the fine print and the very least, where I found the website.

You talk about a lawsuit; what are you going to use? You have not documented anything. You don't know where you heard of it, what the website is, why you paid; nothing. If you plan on suing, you may want to get your sh*t in order...whether thisis a "scam" or not, I'm sure they have theirs together. You can't just cancel credit charges either. The credit card company will protect you from fraud, not being a dumbass and misusing your card. Also, the "sponsor" could end up suing you not paying, defamation of character, or various other things I'm sure they are already prepared for...may want to tread lightly...
