Updated shift gate...WIDE!!!

Toyota updated my shiftgate to the 2002 spec so the problem of mis shifting is cleared up...so now if you really do mis shift into second gear, then ur the worse driver ever heh....2nd to third is like shifting from 2nd to 5th on the pre 2002 shift gates. Oh well i guess its better than paying $2000 to fix my blown valves and scratched up head..good trade I like the gate though..hopefully TRD will make an updated Quickshifter for it! Warning...TRD shortshifter does not work on the next shift gates..so don't waste time and money for all you '02 ppl. I have a '01, now all i need is the gear ratios..hehe http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/wink.gif best of two worlds...hehe I WISH

Yea, how did you get them to do it? It's not a new TSB right? Anyway, I just got my 00 GTS about 4 days ago http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smile.gif. I am almost ready to let it go for a few days for some TSB updates. From what I read I know I want the shift spring update but what about some of the others? Can I get the 02 spec shift gate? That can't be as simple as getting a new shift pattern plate!? Do they change out the gear selector part of the tranny?

Anyway, I just want to get everything I can think of done the first time <IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm41.gif" border=0> I've only had it for 4 days but have been shopping for 8 months and researching at least 3 months!

nope sorry guys no TSBs beyond those of the shifter springs that were already posted. That same exact shifter is going into my blown engine too.. .I asked the guy if it was the tighter shifter springs and he said that it was something diff... So I'm waiting on that and I'll let you guys know how it is... He said the ECU is staying which is good news cause its the 00 ECU... beyond that i went to the acura dealership today with a friend to get his brakes done and we were fooling around in the rsx-s.. it has a nice shifter feel to it.. its clicky and makes a metal clanking sound when it gets into gear... i like that... its very reaffirming.. anyway i hope mine will be all better within next 5 weeks...
