Hey All, I just picked up the VCN-100 system and was just wondering what you guys with the system thought of it.
I have it sitting in the box collecting dust waiting for some nice weather to start my install. Any of you guys that do have it, could you post pic's of the install locations so I can get some ideas brewing.. And post comments of how you like your system, one more thing, did you change plugs too?

i thought that the Venom nitrous system doesnt work with the Celica?
it doesn't??? if you go to the website you see the celica as a newly added app. the website isn't that informative, and apparently they don't respond to e-mail, as opposed to nitrous express who gladly sent me info packets. let me know how the thing-ma-jiggy works. i'm thinking of going with venom too. i'm going to turn my lil sweethheart into BANE (if you don't know, refer to Batman)!

I think that I am going to try and install it, I wanted it due to
the simplicity of the system and computer control. The Nitrous Express kit doesn't in any way monitor the oxygen sensor, and doesn't automatically shut down if anything goes out of wack. I liked that feature enough that I decided to give it a try. In the manual for the VCN-1000, they stress that all of your electrical connections are contacted, and they said to check them over and over again. Are you sure that your system has really good electrical connections? I am going to hook up my fluke multimeter to the connections and wiggle the hell out of them and make sure that they still have a good connection. The wire connectors that they came with don't look like the best, but they definately look sufficient. I am going to take my time with the install, and hopefully come up with some good ideas to make it better... (I'm and engineer, that's what I do!)

My mechanic did everything, got in touch with their tech dept to help. everything was wired with good connectivity just wont fire on full throttle.

i heard that venom was blowin peoples engines up. as for the NX kit if you buy the upgrade pak you get a FP sensor thing and if the fuel pressure drops it shuts it off. thats all the venom does but its already wired in there little box thing. isn't that a dry system? how does it raise FP.

I have the Venom kit on my GT and I love it. Took my mechanic a full week to install it though. I'm running a 75 shot and the only thing I've noticed is that if I let the bottle build up more than 950 psi, when I spray the system shuts it down because it runs too lean.
too many conflicting stories, more negative than positive though. so for the NX kit you buy the 2gen kit to upgrade to something that Venom's kit comes standard with? maybe the issue is the installation process. venom's stresses the importance of installing and testing their kit (probably because of these known issues). i dunno if i can do a week without my car!
maybe i'll just get the NX kit with all the safety thingies and spray paint the bottle black. dumb question, but is that ok for the bottle? by the way, if i put neons in the footwells and under the hoodscope would i be able to hook it up so that it lights when i hit the nitrous? or does this question go somewhere else?

I've heard both positive and negative about Venom. I havent heard anything negative about NX.
I'm not really sure how Venome operates, but is it similar to Zex?
As for the FP cutoff switch, ou dont have to buy the whole upgrade kit, you can just buy that alone.
Yes Luna, you can do that thing with the neons, and I bet I can hook up NX in your car in 2 hours.:)

Anyone in NY/NY want to buy my kit? Its sitting there in my room with a filled bottle. I got tired of venom they want me to send things back and forth and its just a hassle for me. If someone wants to buy it they can send the controller etc to get it check. Like I said the Venom tech wants to help out and make it work but I just got tired of it. Email me if anyone wants to make me an offer.

Anybody wanna post some pic's of their install? I am looking to get some different bottle brackets because the Venom's will scratch the hell ot of the bottle, or at least it looks so.. I want to install a fitting in the trunk, a male to male, with one end in the trunk and the other under the car because I don't like the idea of popping a hole in the trunk and just sealing it up with a grommet. Any other ideas????
i think that solves that question...i'm gonna go with NX. are their any consequences to setting the bottle behind the driver? i have pretty dark tints & i'd probably put something to cover it. i don't wanna have to roam behind the trunk at the track and let peeps see my set-up. is there any harm in warming the bottle prior to use? is there a time limit to that?
sam: thanks for the 411. about the installation, hmmm. maybe. s3 was talking about an all day install for about 200 i think. we can talk sat!
