tires and lugnuts: open or closed?

First off, let me say that I have searched already and I know this is more wheel and tire forum, but no one every responds in there.

Well, I just got a set of RO_JA formula 7's, I really didn't plan on buying them... it was an impulse buy... like most things...

so first off, im shopping for tires: my car is a daily, and I hardly push it anymore, so I want something that has good wear and ride comfort. I think i am going to go with 215/35/18 Kumho ECSTA ASX, I hear they have good wear and grip and are pretty cheap, so I think I am going to go with those. Unless someone can suggest something else for me.

So the other thing i need to get is new lug nuts. my question is: whats the difference between closed and open lug nuts. I mean, I am going to assume that open ones are probably prone to more problems because it can rust or what not. But I was looking around at some and the lightest open ones are Zenki's that are only .6oz

while the lightest closed ones are RAYS at .8oz

price is also an issue, but i dont mind investing the extra $60 or whatever if they are worth it

i think the closed ended ones are just to make it look pretty. also, is .2oz per nut really that important?

Get the closed ended. I have the open ended ones on my car now and they're not very nice to look at with all the rust.

they seem pretty cheap, and the tread doesnt look that great if you are looking for great performance...

i suggest you get the kumho mx. closed lugnuts would be the better choice.
