OK, heres the deal. I'm looking or a turbo kit. My decision is gonna be made on quality of the parts and reliabilty only. I have 2 kits I'm choosing from, X-S Engineering and C2 Performance. I'm shooting for at least 280 WHP with FULLY built engine and tranny.

What are the pros and cons, i.e Power FC vs E-manage, Garret GT28r vs Apexi IHI, etc.

This is strictly for quality and reliabilty, no service or cost etc.

(this is for a 2ZZ-GE motor)

well, ill start the bandwagon....FVCK XS...they are not producing the kit any more...Get the C2 kit and be happy...do some research before you ever mention XS again....

C2 kit you can customize like not getting the Emanage and go with PowerFC, bigger intercooler, bigger turbo etc. Not gonna get that with XS

C2 is really your only choice, so that should make your decision pretty easy....

pretty much, da motorsports will never release a gt-s kit, stafford is either gonna go under but ur not really gonna get a decent kit from him... and xs has crappy manifolds... ask smaay. ur best and only bet is c2, an for the matter of the fact, yes i almost when to the SF kit, but when i saw the quality in the C2 kit i was amazed. c2gas has been very nice, and the customer service is unbelievable. he will be there for u for questions.

I will not point fingers at anyone, but to summarize:

C2: If quality and customer service is what you want, go with C2. The highest quality production kit currently available. Stainless steel on everything (no aluminum piping or cast iron manifolds) and a turbocharger offering the latest technology - the Garrett GT line with water-cooling and double ball-bearing. Also, the best customer service not only in regards to turbocharger companies, but in general. Which, considering they are based out of Hungary, is sad when they are giving better customer service than XS Engineering which is just down the street from me. Furthermore, the kit has nearly unlimited potential. For example, check out what I have been doing with my Stage II GTS kit:

www.cmlb.net/c2celica

SF: If he had his act together, he would have a great kit. Pretty good engineer for a relatively "garage style" operation. His kit has HUGE potential with a turbo included that has sufficient CFM to output 450 hp. However, the customer service is NON-EXISTENT. Basically, the guy is a phantom.

XS: Props for being the first ones to come out with a production level GTS turbo kit. But, alas, it is true about the manifold. Obviously, some serious design flaws that have led to multiple instances of cracking. Nice thing about the kit is that it comes with a PowerFC, 255 lph fuel pump, and 504 cc injectors.

Make your choice wisely....but, remember, once you decide on a turbo kit, it needs to be a one-time investment since if anything goes wrong, the results will, most likely, be more expensive to repair than the kit itself.

I know nothing of the Sf or XS kity but all I can do is comment on C2. Gas has been outstanding even after my shop fecked up the install he came over to the UK and sorted everything out for me

the kit is extremely good quality but if the fitter is **** then there is not a lot you can do to get around that. If you want decent quality and the best customer service ANYWHERE (this includes USA Europe and Japan) then go with C2

you know it makes sense

Well, the choice is made-----> winnner=C2.

Looks like there gonna get a 10k sale by the end of this year.

Attn C2. If I ship you my motor & tranny can ya'll do all the tuning and install, ie turbo tranny full port polish balance etc? If so prob a 15K-25k sale. I've been saving up for 3 years.

Motor work can be done locally by a good shop or MWR, it would save some money and time. Tranny have to be sent to them to get the gears installed, because you need right equipment to get that gears to fit (according to Boosted2.0) Tunning has to be done locally because environmental condition (temp, humidity, elevation etc) would affect tuning. Or you can order C2Power kit and bring everything to MWR and get all the internals done and installed by MWR, not sure if MWR can install the tranny but considering they did so many race vehicles it should not be a problem.

That is what i would do if I had the money...buy the kit andtranny upgrades from C2 then take the car to MWR for the engine/tranny build and tuning.

:werd: this is what I'm saying...C2 is embarassing EVERY business I have EVER dealt with and making them look quite pathetic. All except Trial Japan, of course! Haha.

C2, you need to start looking into making some moves in the interest of gaining a global corporate monopoly :gap: :chuckles:!!! Of course, only then, their customer service may decline since they would be soooo huge.

Maybe you could start by buying out Microsoft?

I have an XS kit but the C2 kit looks really nice and I would have bought it had it been available at the time. I would not pay the XS price for their kit, but for what I paid for mine, I have no right to complain.
