Just curious if anyone knows exactly how these allocations work when ordering a celica. I placed an order for a 2002 gts back in february. The dealer told me that i was lucky with the time i was ordering because they could get it into the allocation on monday (this was a saturday) and it would only take 11 weeks to get here. Well they placed the order that monday (feb. 18th) and up until yesterday i hadn't heard anything from them. I recently sold my car so i will be without a car until the celica comes in so i call to see if they have any idea when it will be in. The guy says 16-18 weeks, i informed him that i was told if they got the order in that monday it would only be 11 weeks and he says that he has no idea if it made it in the allocation or not. So now im getting worried that im going to be stuck without a car for 10 weeks until this car gets in. Will the dealership give me a loaner until the car gets in? How does this usually work out and what is the average time period for an order to come in?
