When doing a 1/4 mile run it gives great advantage if we make the car lighter. Are carbon fibre trunks , doors etc built and sold aftermarket for the celica?
The only carbon fibre mod I know of is the hood

there's a carbon fiber hatch, and there's carbon fiber fenders (front quarter pannels over the tires).

The front and rear bumpers are not OEM, they're K2 style.

And I would highly doubt that they are actually lighter than the stock pieces.
Wet FRCF (fiberglass reinforced carbon fiber) is not the same thing as the molded dry carbon fiber used in racecars and airplanes. The stuff you get from ViS and FiberImages is made completely for show and "good looks".

Yah.
And if you wanted to shave off weight, there's so much other stuff you can do besides replacing panels/parts with CF.
Just take off the rear bumper and exhaust all together. ;)

So true. My dad's building a plane as we speak, almost done too. I've seen the dry CF he's using and it's very strong and very light. Much better than the typical CF car part.
