Guys,

I have about 2 weeks until the body shop I want can get my Kaminari kit in for paint. They may install it as well, but I think I might take the project on myself. There has been alot of confusion over whether or not to use the grill sheets Kaminari uses, or some cheap home depot stuff. I went and checked out what Home depot and Lowes had, and I was not impressed. Even if I paint this stuff really well and clear coat it, I don't think I am going to be happy. Check this link here.

Andy's sells this grill for a pretty decent price. Has anyone tried this stuff? Also, excuse my ignorance, but how many of these sheet would I need to cover the front of the kaminari? (side holes and main radiator area.)

On a side note, how do think red painted grills would look in the kaminari kit on my Carbon Blue car? I want to try something a little different. I do like how the white looks though.

Thanks alot guys,

Chris

Folia tec makes some nice grills in alum. or black finish. Do a search on the web and ebay.

Are you talking about the Grillcraft grils that are $130? Those are pre-cut to shape of the OEM bumper, it will not work on the Kam front.

Ebay has some nice looking material from time to time.

Oh, and I vote no for the red grill. Sorry Chris, that's just too ricey for my taste. If you want to make the car different (flashy) you would be better off saving up for a total repaint. But if it makes you happy... :)

You will need about two of those sheets for the kaminari kit, that is if you are filling the holes in all of the bumpers. the actual kam grill only cost 35 dollars a sheet, haven't bought it yet but I think that it should be worth it. I have my mesh in a really dark blue color on silver and I really liked it at first, but eventually I thought it looked a little ricey.
