good luck with it all! is your ext. wastegate open dump or does it recirculate? mine's open dump and i think it only seems loud because i still have my trd exhaust on. i know its not the best thing to do for gains but i have enough power already and i love the concept of a quiet car that gets really loud only when u step on it.

i just resetted my ecu and everything seemed to settle down :P (the shop did not reset the ecu). but i am still going back to them on thursday so they can double check the AFR and lower it if need be

Anyone use the tial ext. wastegate? That is what I am using. I should have vids on dyno tuesday or wednesday.

nice vids.. wat freeway did u dot hat at.. this is the first turbo celi vid ive heard with an external dump.. sounds like the typical external dumps ive heard on other cars
s except u can still distinguish the sound of the motor/lift in with the celi

no matter what o2 dumps are gonna be loud.. both external and internal wastegatess.. change ur exhaust or not.. once it opens up.. its gonna be loud.. nothing u can do bout that.. as far as HP i dont think there is any difference if any.. just better boost control so no creep/spiking..

but u my friend are brave for having that in the Bay.. esp in milpitas.. u can year external dumps from farrrrr away.. its like an acquired taste.. some find it annoyingly loud.. some love it..

oh yea.. u got pics of the dump tube.. where is it pointing to?

I highly doubt the installers didn't disconnect the battery though, thus resetting ECU.

Anyways, great to hear it's not knocking anymore. How's the A/F?

i'm not saying where i did the vids at cuz one of you may be a cop. YOU may be a cop :P. milpitas is a small town anyways... population 25.. haha.. so use your imagination!

yea i know how the cops are in this area, but hey, my car is as loud as my foot wants it to be. when im cruising or at idle, my car sounds stock--cept for the dumb FMU whine :gap:.

i feel you on that acquired taste thing, the guy i bought the manifold/wastegate/dp from told me "trust me you'll love the open dump sound" i just said "uhh ok sure if u say so" ( i didn't know much about turbos back then). damn he was right, the thing sounds like heaven.

haha, given a chance in riding in a turbo'ed celi fascinates me. How often you see one those around? I'm from San Lorenzo/Oakland, so i know. You and your celi is definately the first in the bay area.

One day if i decided to turbo aka takbo my celi, i'll pm you for help/info. Congrats in sucessfully turbo'ing the celi, you are definately one lucky sob. :king:
