Hey Guyes,

Just wondering, for the perople who have spoilers (NOT include stock), How heavy is your spolier, can you feel the difference in handling (downforce), and can you feel the wind drag from your spoiler ???

The resason I asked is because I recently got the Kam Wing and it is a pretty heavy wing, I can literally HEAR the wind drag with all the window closed and I can feel the car slower........ :(

Is this all in my mind??? or its all in my imagination ??

Thanks guys....

A wing in a Celica is really just for looks.

Wrong...Trial knocked off 1.3 seconds off their circuit attack time with the addition of the Trial wing. I keep on saying it over and over again - the entire Trial kit (which includes the wing) was designed as a one piece unit to increase downforce, maximize the vacuum underneath the vehicle, and enhance aerodynamics.

And, yes, you can definitely feel the difference in downforce. I have never done time attacks on a circuit, but when we were testing my turbo kit in the Lancaster, CA desert, we hit 130 and it literally felt like someone attached a barndoor to the back of the vehicle. It was SOLID planted to the ground - no squirrelyness at all.

As for my Trial wing, it weighs less than stock. It's all dry-lay carbon fibre.

Anyone know how much the Kaminari Race Wing with CF blade weighs? More than the RMM? I've heard bad stories about blown shocks. I've had the RMM wing with CF blade for a while and thats held up. Should I be worrying when going to Kam CF Wing?

You should get the heavy duty shocks that TRD used to offer. When the TRD kit was not a dealer option, they would send the TRD wing with heavy duty shocks. I think even when they made it a dealer option (Action Package), they would swap out the stock shocks with the heavy duty ones.

Or, you could get C2 Power ones. http://www.c2power.com/products/celica_trunk_shock_kit

I had originally purchased the full TRD kit before it was an Action Package thing (when it was still very expensive to buy each component and hardly anybody else had them...grrrrrr...still bitter about them making it the Action Package and a $1500 option, which was the price for the front bumper alone when it was through TRD). Anyway, I replaced my stock shocks with the heavy duty ones that TRD offered me. Now, without the TRD wing and with my Trial wing being so light, the trunk literally flies up when I open it because the heavy duty shocks exert so much upward pressure!!!!

I think he is saying his shocks on his hatch are blown, not his suspension.
