I was just curious as to how many people have strut bars in their cars (either front or rear). I would think that the rear would have a much bigger impact than the front. The front is simpler, so I was thinking about doing that first, but would it mess up the handling since it would make the front significantly stronger than the rear? Would the same be true if I only put in a rear strut bar?

I was thinking about the Rod Millen front strut bar and TRD rear strut bar. What do people think of those? Are there any problems with the battery and the RMM front strut bar?

for the RMM bar you need to turn your battery terminals 90 degrees. Other then that you should be fine. The RMM bar comes with a new battery tie down too.

For the rear bar, I would go hypermotive over the TRD, mainly because it's stiffer and is easily removable. They have been discontinued but I know there was one for sale in the classifieds recently. Otherwise the TRD would be nice too.

If you got the cash, buy a C-One rear bar, BLING BLING.

I have this combinaion. I installed them both at the same time and I remember it making a pretty significant improvement on the cars turn-in and responsiveness in turns overall. Certianly two mods that I would suggest.

Someone please explain in detail the actual benfits of tying the strut towers together.

By somewhat linking the two strut towers together, it will keep the wheel on the inside of the turn (the wheel on the side of the car that had all of the weight shifted from it) planted more firmly on the ground, and will correct understeer (at least on our cars, and in the front).

I tink.

Googled it and found this... http://www.tuninglinx.com/html/a_bars.html
