most people with 18" go with a 225/35
i guess depending on the width you could go with whatever you want.
but to keep the same rolling diamater, you gotta go with a 35 series tire
otherwise your speedo will be incorrect, but its hard to tell by how much

I think that's incorrect. The most common combo I've seen is with a 215/35/18 tire. Most ppl are running a 18x7.5" rim and this is the tire aspect you want to go with in order to remain as close to stock as possible. I don't think 45 series tires are a good idea at all... especially with a 4" drop, which is probably an even worse idea. :(

With a 2" drop and 215/35's I had no problems with fender contact at all.

damn dude, why the big ass drop? Do you understand that your lowest point is not gonna be the body? You are gonna have like 1.5-2 inches clearance. Not only that, but the rear wheels are gonna be tucked in. It will look like Sheit. I would say go with a 2-2.25 inch drop, with a nice set of 7.5 inch rims, let the wheels meet with the fender a little (cause that looks so damn cool :) ) and that would be the end of that.
