please post ur opinion on which day the NE meet should be held on and please DO NOT give ur opinion if u do not plan on coming. this way we can have a good idea on which weekend to host the event. then we can move on to the issue of location

I like this idea. A meet in CT for June, NJ we can do seaside heights for July, and NY we can do jillians again in August, unless theres something else to do. I just threw that out thhere as an idea. :D

damn what a travesty if he indeed sold it. that car went through a shiatload of transitions from the baby blue in 2001 to the gold color.

Here's my $.02 on the meet situation:

Like someone mentioned above, I think it was Vinny, we should switch it up from state to state. NJ is already basically decided as Seaside is always one of our largest turnouts each year. Last year we didnt go to Van Saun state park but hopefully we can make that happen by the end of the season.
NY has the Jillians meet so the meets that will be considerably new will be the ones in CT and/or MA.

As the weather is lookin quite unpredictable even though Spring begins only in 2weeks gumption tells me we should set the first meet for somewhere in mid-April or earl may.

Here's my prospective glance at this year's big meets (being that some local meets might very well take place in each individual state):

April: Season Opener @ Annual Dave n Busters - Palisades, NY

May: Mod meet - Site to be determined? MA, PA, NJ, NY??

June: CT meet - Site to be determined

July (week after 4th): Back 2 Seaside Heights - Seaside Heights, NJ

August: Return to Jillians - Farmingdale, NY
2ndweek of September: Van Saun - Paramus, NJ ???


I consider myself a veteran somewhat of the NE meets since I've been going since 2001 and was there at the first meet which was held at the Roosevelt Field Mall (even though I came late).

The Dave N Busters meet is an icebreaker of sorts (almost literally as snow is about gone). We meet each other blah blah..this sets it up for the mod meet which allows everyone to start stickin the parts on their cars.
I've been to some great mod meets BlueBomber's and PaCelicaGTS' place in the past. Those who are past mod meet veterans know that shiat you cant do yourself saves u a bundle at these meets (not to mention...liftbolts anyone?)

Gradually we then start workin our way to some of the bigger meets. I'm hoping for a great CT meet and Seaside has been one of the bigger meets though last year's Jillians did rival it in terms of fun and size.
MA meet anyone? well I'll let the MA guys input on that.
If possible, hopefully the Van Saun will be the closer. The last one we had was in 2003 and it was by far the biggest meet held in the past 4 years. It was succesfully coordinated and organized by Chris25NJ and his girl Cheryl...Van Saun has become the meet that EVERYONE is invited and that year boy did we have a showin of all types of imports.


In any case this is all geared at being fun and once again its only my worthless $.02 on what might transpire. Those with considerable better ideas..please feel free as I am only here for the ride so rearrangement or changes are more than welcome.

well... i have already offered a meet in mass during may but i guess free chinese food is not ur liking since u guys declined. ie - graduation party in may, free chinese food in my back yard, hang out, goto hooters which is like 10 minutes away, i could call and set up somethin so that we could have a special set up for our cars with the hooters girls around em for a group shot. and then after hooters would be goin to a club or whatever...........but noo..... you dont want to have such a good meet cause u r all such idiots :fawk: LOL

....the soon to be 18 year old whose b-day this sunday is not gonna be fun cause my whole family is comin in for my grandmas funeral cause she passed away last night :(

i live in longmeadow, ma - right outside of springfield, 5-10 minutes from the bball hall of fame.

like my bro and sister, for our high school graduation, my parents throw a graduation party for family and friends and my friends from school. Buffet of good chinese food, other foods, in the back yard under a big tent.

Hey wait, I just voted. To tell you the truth, it doesn't really matter what weekend we do it on, but the later we do it (june) the more likely that I'll be able to bring my celica. If it's before I put my celica back on the road, I'll just bring the new sunburst orange z71 crew cab chevy colorado 4x4. What really sucks is when I want to put my celica back on the road, I'll have to pay insurance on both my new truck and my celica, which really sucks. Until I have my new truck paid off, I can't ever drop the insurance on it. :thumbdown: But you'll have this I guess....

At least if I bring my truck, randy, won't feel left out if he decides to come, which he better do, since it seems pretty local to him.

in a way i feel the same way. my body work wont be done till mid june. so thats why in my case, the later the better. but i'll be down for any weekend
