Mitsubishi HAS confirmed that it will bring the EVO to the U.S. It wont pass $27K cause it's going to be around the same price range as the WRX. But even if Mitsu does sell it for $30K, i'm all over that EVO VII. And for those that think this car is ugly, just wait till people get it and start putting body kits and aftermarket wheels on them. You'll reconsider how they look after that. Besides, I don't think EVO VII owners will care if you think the car is ugly cause they're gonna feel pretty damn good when they are 7-10 cars ahead of you half way through 3rd gear from a dead stop!:D

there was an evo 7 at an autocross in SD. the guy had it imported to mexico and he drove it across. i dont know the details but he pulled some strings and he swithced titles with a mirage.

i've raced an evo 6 on the highway once... you'd imagine the results... that thing just gets smaller and smaller in front of you...

The rally look of the WRX and EVO VII doesn't do anything for me, however, I have nothing but respect for the power under their hoods. The EVO VII posts times in the 0-60 and 1/4 mile that will shame most sports cars (even the car I'm hoping to buy next, the Z). I can see the ricers all over this one (but if they put down a few Camaros and Stangs in the process, you won't hear any complaints from me :D )

I dont think they'll be a target for ricers, ricers usually stick to cheaper motors, peeps who buy these cars are real enthusiasts, at least round here. And as far as stangs and cameros, I dont know of any stock one that can post 0-60 times under 5 secs, that Evo will probably outpull both upto 120mph too. Should be good to see em race.

I really dig this car! You've gotta love a four banger that can pull off those 0-60 and 1320 times, regardless of what it looks like. Actually, the car looks pretty damn good except for the wing; but you can change that...
