Please don't look down on the SF Bay Celica community because of one guys immaturity, I guess I was just caught up in the moment and wanted to share the info with you guys over here. i hate to call bs on another celica owner but....

well it does say celica on the slip, some tracks enter car names instead of numbers, mine did that once or twice.

if he ran 13.78 @ 99-100mph i might've believed it, but 1.6 60' and 110mph trap? people spray 50 shots of nitrous and only trap around 105-106!

he needs to be running over 240-250hp at the crank, even if he is 200lbs. lighter to trap that high.

Just for grins I plugged into a site I found, really can't vouch for the accuracy but using 2600 lbs. for the weight at 13.78 it is putting down 196HP at the wheels.

the alltrac wasn't a GT-S it was a GT-4. and if a GT4 could trap 110mph, it would be into 12s with a 1.6 60'.

It's not real. A 60 foot like that is not possible with a GT-S on 18s.. lol. This is an AWD or RWD with slicks. Also 200 lbs of weight reduction isn't possible either. Trust me. I know. The only way it is possible is if you are taking everything out of the interior. Speakers, dash, gauges, AC, everything.

I could make a slip, or better yet find 1 of millions on the net with an ET of 13.5 and call it myn. Its amazing how people believe someone who simply posts a "whacked out" slip. If he had found a slip with a 2.1 60', or even a 2.0 (stretching it) 60'....then and only THEN would I atleast think he was telling the truth.

Trapping at 110mph, doesnt that imply atleast 200+hp to the WHEELS??

Another thing...how often do tracks write down the name of the car on the slip...yet at the same time fail to write down the name of the other car??

I just opened this picture in paint, and filled the outside with yellow. You'll notice it makes almost a perfect box around the numbers.

momocorsa, relax. People just find a 1.6 sec 60 ft time and a 110 mph trap speed hard to believe on a mildly modded GT-S. Now as far as racing you, I don't think people care enough to drive over to No Cal or Oregon to do that (except maybe for peeps that live there). You just gotta expect people not to believe such extraordinary times like that. If the skepticism doesn't concern you, then cool. Just let people say what they want, and get used to getting flamed. If it really DOES bother you, maybe you should do something like videotape your runs, and have a bunch of local peeps from the Celica boards witness your runs. Just offering a little advice.:)

I couldn't even get a 1.6 60' without DR's and a couple mods (and even then it'd be tough). Sub 2.0 isn't too hard but to get a 1.6 you're running major mods, major HP, and more so major traction. Not gonna happen in a FWD car, escpecially with 18's and Paradas. Nope.

TOTAL BS, first of all a 60' like that, u better have an awd car, the pro front wheel drive cars get like 1.4s 1.5s, my friends 600hp sentra gets 1.5's and u gonna try and tell us u got a 1.6 60', second, if your trapping 110 MPH i would really hope u get from the 1000' to the 1320 in less then 4 seconds im trapping 97/98 MPH and gettin from the 1000 to the 1320 at about 2.3 seconds, third i just renewed my will and hope for the celi, so i will be the first in the 13's NA :)

The math can't seem to play out too many other ways.

For the record, i ran a 1.72 60 foot time. Add that to my 110 trap and you have a 12.3 run.

My 1/8th ET was 7.909 and trap was 88mph IIRC.

It's OK to be skeptical about that. I, myself give him the benefit of the doubt because he seems to be an honest, stand up guy on the board. Anyway, it's not really important enough for me to NEED to see videos of his runs or be there in person for his runs. I just leave it at that. You could always ask him if he has videos of his runs or something.

Yeah, he actually does run those times. I've been there on several occasions. So has Larryd and Icyjaws. He can definitely runs those times. And definitely don't need anything special to run those times. All he has are simple bolts-ons. He just strips his car down to nothing and can shift fast as sh!t.

And just because you posted somewhere on this board asking him about what mods he has just so you can copy him and think you have a fast GT too, doesn't mean he saw it.

And it's not like he hasn't posted his timeslips up either. If still aren't sure, you can always drive down here and he can physically show you. Or do you need to sit in his lap while he's driving for it to be enough proof for you???
