View Full Version : Finally new pics w/ my rims!
Well i finally got some recent pics of my car with my new rims 17" Rota Subzero's in gunmetal :) so i thought i'd share. Hope you all like.
Oh yeah don't mind how dirty my car is right now.. i'll fully detail it soon.. the weather has been iffy, on top of that the paint has been chipping bad on my body kit.. and i'm selling it this summer and get the vielside kit.

I love the rims. Rotas are sick period.
If I were you I'd get rid of the TRD sticker on the center console though IMHO.

daytime pics would be good... would probably look better in daytime.... cuz nitetime, everything's black..... so it looks like your wheelgap is pretty big. as far it is now.... certainly an improvement from the stock 16" have fun.... and steer clear of potholes (steer clear! AHAHA i made a funnie!! or not.... )

wow.. very nice Jami! Nice rims! Still there is a very large gap with those rims. Maybe you can lower them some more... :) Still very nice!

yeah, well i'm probably gonna get the center console painted to match the car when i get the vielside kit done.. so the sticker will be coming off. My boyfriend actually put it there.. i like it but i have enough stickers as it is :p
I will definantly get some day time pics when i wash it and get it all cleaned up. I just had a wierd spurt to go outside and take some pics real quick.
I know the gap is still big.. hehe.. but i love my TRD springs, and i don't want it any lower for when i get the vielside kit cause i already scrape on some driveways not matter how slow or at an angle i go :p
thanks for the compliments ;)

is the car lowered?
it seems like it has a pretty big wheel gap still
yeah i have TRD springs... its mostly just the camera angle that makes it look that bad. The pics don't pay any justice to what it really looks like in person... Standing up next to it, its actually pretty low. I mean the only way to really fill in the gap would be to get bigger rims.. but i didn't want rims that were too big.

Gun-metal was a good choice with spectra blue. Nice!:)

whats that underneath ur headunit?
Hilfiger, i got them from my sponsor www.diabloautosports.com i think they are like $120-$130 a rim, can't remember. If you e-mailed Mike@diabloautosports.com and told him i recommended you he'd probably give you a good deal.
xav3x, its just an open slot.. its currently being used for my gum :p

looks good
i can't remember.. i'd have to go out and look.. they really aren't any bigger then the stock tire size.. i mean if you stood one of these up to my stock rims/tires it'd probably be the same. I really didn't want to go big. I know the pics make it look like there is a huge gap.. i think mostly because its dark and the flash is just kind of enhancing stuff like that... because it doesn't look like that in person.. i mean the gap doesn't look as big.. it actually looks really good.

dude, that was a great choice of rim to put on there. it goes great with spectra blue. those are the same rims i want. i wonder what they would look like on a black celica with a big drop on it. nice man, how bout some more pics in the light.

hehe i'm actually a dudet ;)
i think those rims would look good on black as well. My friend/sponsor at diablo autosports has a black ITR and he has the same rims.. although he painted them flat black. But i've seen gunmetal on black cars before and it looks slick.
Maybe i'll take some pics today for daytime pics :p
thanks everyone for the compliments.
oh yeah and to the person who asked about the site skirts. They fit alright... i really wish RMM would have just made the whole kit polyurethane.. and the thing i don't like is that the rmm sides aren't a full replacement.. they actually screw into your stock side skirts and it doesn't hold very well.. so there is a rattling not much though. Other thing is even with a good paint job i think they would still chip like mine do right at that rear vent. Since the it gives a passage for wind to go through it brings rocks and things as well.

What do you mean they screw into the stock sides. Do they screw into the side along the inside of the wheel area or do you have to screw them into the stock sides along the side of the car.
Do the RMM sides use double sided tape
Thanks, I hope you understand what I mean :)
Both... for a lot of the other side skirts you take the stock side skirt off (thats the plastic part).. but for the RMM sides they actually screw into that part.. i'll try to remember to take some pictures of how mine is screwed in tomorrow. Also the only piece that comes with double sided sticky tape is the front. The sides don't really need it, but the rear does.. i've been having problems with mine sliding a bit.. you can see it in this pic
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid18/p68761bc0b154f6cb02e06fc9d57015fb/fdd24976.jpg
if you look you can see some white part right along the edge of the rear piece. thats where it slides.
Also for people who asked for lighter pics.. here are some that i took today.. its not like super sunny out, its more in the evening but much better then the night time ones.

I've got 17's with with TRD springs as well, but I don't have the wheel gap you do. I run a 45 sidewall. Yours must me 40?
Bat
yeah mine are definantly 40 then.. your tires look bigger. Maybe the next tires i get i'll try the 45's and see if it lookes better. I didn't even pick my tires size.

where did you get those rims and what's the offset? 17x7.5?
AHH i think im goin with the 45 wall .... looks much better!!
i got them from Diablo Autosports (www.diabloautosports.com)... they are a 48mm offset but i bought 5mm spacers to bring them down to 43mm. They are 17x7.

Which means my Tires are 35's or smaller, and my rims are only 17's. But they look so much thinner than the 40's.

Do those sub zeros come with a polished lip?
I have a black gts and like the look of the wheels, but I'd like some shiny silver around the edges :D
also, why did you need to get the spacers? I thought the cars could have up to a 48 mm offset?
am I incorrect in this?
Sweet ride tho
