Are these some sort of new stock body kit for 2005 or is it a new TRD action package?

I 've had to get my front Kaminari bumper repainted several times b/c of Dallas' crappy streets and this kit might be the way to go in order to get some extra clearance.

stock 2005? (http://www.everythingcelica.com/gal3/stock2005)

Anyone know what they are and/or where to get them?

It's the new 2005 Action Package. Currently available only from a Toyota dealer.

And don't forget to mention the crazy ass price tag.

Yeah, I would imagine the prices to be insanely overpriced.

I find it strange how that Celica (in the link) does not have color keyed headlamps to match the body. I was under the assumption that all of the new action packages came with them.

its the tsunami kit! if you want a kit that's not too low, get a WW lip. it looks nice and clean.

My understanding is that the Celicas with the optional HID lamps cannot come with them.

I saw that in a brochure for the Celica at an auto show back in February.

I know the housings are different, but I didn't think they were different enough that they couldn't be painted.

Oh well.

^^ that is correct. the hid equipped celicas do not come with painted inserts.

although i also find it strange that they can't be painted..probably just a production issue.

:werd:

I would understand if the HID lamps gave off an ungodly amount of heat that might screw up the paint in the long run, but that fact couldn't be further from the truth.

Perhaps the problem lies within the disassembly of the HID lamp housing versus the non-HID lamp housing. Just a guess though, since I have yet to hear of someone taking apart their HID lamp.

Yeah you're 100% right, but those aren't HID lamps in the link. They're identical to 2000-02 OEM lamps.
