Racing Hart Z5000's vs stock gts rims weight differece

i just weighed the stock rims with tires and 17" Z5000's with tires.
stock- 37 pounds
Z5000's- 40 pounds
also side by side they look to be the same height with 40 series tires.
just letting everyone know

hmmm. In theory you want to take as much weight off the car as possible. Does that not apply to wheels? Is it better to have heavier wheels as far as handling goes?

It absolutely applies to wheels, tires, and all other unsprung weight. Lighter is better (not to mention more expensive!).

My 17" and large tires 225/45/17 only weights a tad less than 37lbs. Same as stock I guess.

yeah but im happy loosing 12 pounds between the 4 rim/tires for the look i get with the 17's
