i called southeast toy. distributor today
and talked with Barbara(from customer loyalty department)
i told her that my engine oil is leaking and my flexplate cover is missing from my transmission.
She told me that I still have my warranty and the warranty is 50k miles... wtf.. and she told me to go fix my car at local dealer in tampa.
so i said " i already filed a lemon law and i gave you guys 4 times to fix this problem"
barbara: " so what do you want us to do?"
me: "i want my full money back"
barbara: " we can't do that cause i don't have your files with me right now.. why don't you go to the dealer and let them look at it"
Me: "i don't want to!... i already gave you guys a chance to fix my car... im sick of it and i never get to drive my car cuz its always in the shop"
barbara: "well we can't do anything for you at this point"
Me: "What?"
barbara: "well... i don't have your files with me right now
Me: "i gave you my VIN number!"
barbara: "i don't see your files in my computer"
Me: "What am i suppose to do now"
barbara:" why don't you call 800 number and file a lemon law"
Me: " I will!!! oh i already did.. i guess i better call my lawyer than"
barbara: "good!!"
Me: " Aight... bye"
and i hung up on her

You said the magic word lawyer. Once said most people, in any business will no longer talk to you personally.
If you Lied and don't have one looks like you need one now.

I know it must be frustrating, but how the hell are you going to lemon law a car for an oil leak. I know you've been there like 4 times to get it fixed and all, but still its just an oil leak, anyway, good luck.

If i fixed my car 4 times than it doesn't mean i went to the dealer 4 times. i went to the dealer at least 50 times to fix my problem.
i know i just gotta replace my oil pan and all but i don't want to!!!
cause.. here i have a chance to get my full money back from toyota!! If the oil pan keeps leaking than i might have to change my oil pump to cure the oil pressure but i don't want to!!
lets just put it this way.. I bought this car 2 yrs ago thinking that i could offer it... now im in college barely making enough money to pay for my apt and insurance.... you think i have time to waste
my precious time going to the dealer and arguing with them?
if you guys don't understand me ... thats aight... I loved my car
i still do.. but If she keeps giving me hard time like this.. I'll have to let her go!

I think you are within youre rights in terms of the Lemon Law if the oil leak is bad enough..
Go further into the oil leak problem.
IS it leaking constantly or just dropping a few drops here and there???
Where is it leaking From?? Just the oil pan. no big deal..
How long has problem been going on? How many times exactly tried to fix?
Do you have all the papers that came with the attempted fixing??

And you said this in a public forum the TOYOTA could read. I am very sorry that you got in "over your head" but that is no reason to NOT allow Toyota to fix your car.
Maybe the owner is the "Lemon"

yeah now that i read this quote, he has no cause of action
what the hells he thinkin, "I dont want to"????
he keeps this up and if something really does pop off hell have voided his warranty.
Still though, he brings it in there and they dont just fix it right off the bat?? Usually you bring it in they fix it and then tell you what happened?
Im gettin outta this cause i dont even understand this dude? he writes all jumbled up ideas like some nut...
Im convinced hes Looney/

nxracer!Check this out
IF THE FINAL REPAIR ATTEMPT DOES NOT FIX THE DEFECT(S), THEN THE MANUFACTURER MUST REFUND THE FULL PURCHASE PRICE OR PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE. IF THE FIRST DEFECT IS SUCCESSFULLY CORRECTED AT THE FINAL REPAIR ATTEMPT, BUT A NEW DEFECT OCCURS DURING THE LEMON LAW RIGHTS PERIOD, THE SAME RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES APPLY.
I'm not here to talk **** about celicas or toyota.
I posted this to get help from people.. instead you guys flamed me and told me that im the problem.
Can you guys please help me?

Dude i want to help but whats this about i dont want to replace the oil pan. and that other crap "i dont want to"??????
If they recommend a repair and you dont go for it you cannot then claim they didnt fix it,, ITS not like they DIDNT try..
Please clarify...Did you really try to let them fix your car??
Did you tell them not to do certain repairs???
Why???

Sorry bud, it looks like you don't have a leg to stand on. Just let the dealer fix the car. If you don't, then they will just fix it during the technical evaluation of the vehicle during arbitration.

wow Willies.. thanx for your advice!
Here is why i didn't allow toyota to fix my rear seal.
1. Clearwater,Stadium, precision toyotas already had more than 5 chances to fix my car.
2. Filed Lemon law after 4th attempt from clearwater toyota.
3. Final Repair was at Stadium Toyota.
4. Got a phone call from Toyota asking If i can give them more time b/c their master tech was busy fixing other cars.(according to lemon law, i could've just said no and got a brand new celica)
5. Went to the dealer to get my car back
Test drove my car and i could shift correctly
so i took it back.. guess what "my clutch cover was bent"
6. they fixed bent clutch cover and i was satisfied
7. 2 months later, I took my celi to local toyota dealer to get a oil change and 19point inspection done. Guess what i still have a oil leak( back than i thought it was minor oil leak) plus flexplate cover missing.
8. I guess i'll have to go to the dealer tomorrow and tell them to fix it. I can't ever shift fast, it always get stuck thats why I don't power shift!!! meaning i don't race~!! ^^

Instead of calling South east Toyota talk to the dealer that is doing the service on your car this happend with our Neon in 95 we did go something like 3 chances over lemon law but they finally got the problem fixed if you don't work with them they won't work with you, Take your car to the dealer tell them it is rediculous that you have to keep bringing your car back to them and if they don't fix right this time you are prusuing the hole lemon thing and if they don't get you a new car or your money you will need a lawyer, Make sure that you document this to the president of the Toyota Company as well as Southeast Toyota, Don't just call sent a Certified letter.

2kgtx thanx for your reply.
Im ignoring other BS posts cuz they don't know what they are talking about.
Why should i waste my time fixing something knowing that i'm gonna have same problem in the future?
Why should i ignore FL Lemon LAW*?
what's up with those quotes? hah i lost my credibility? i think toyota lost credibility. Do any of you work for toyota?

Southeast Toyota sucks. I've called them bitching about this that and the other thing and I believe I talked to Barbara. She was pretty nasty.
I've called them a few times about the paint chipping. I had the car for less than a month at the time and had a dime sized chip on the hood. She pretty much told us that it wasn't their faultand that she had NEVER heard of Celica paint chipping. I called BS right then and there. I've called about it a few other times since.
Them my dealership was bought out by someone else. When I got my car, I also got tires for life. Well, needless to say. Since the dealership was bought out, I lost my tires for life. The dealership themselves told me to call Southeast Toyota (they told all of their other customers to do the same) but again, they told me it wasn't their problem.
There are other things I've called about and gotten the run-around. I wish I knew someone that you could call. But don't deal with southeast Toy. They are out for themselves and don't care about their customers.
I hope you get everything taken care of. I know its a pain in the ass, but so is dealing with the Lemon Law. I had a friend put her Tacoma through arbitration and it took months.

Pepsiman, call 1-800-331-4331 and talk to a rep. They will give you the best direction as to what to do. They also know which dealers are good and which aren't, so they may refer you to somewhere else. Hope you get your issue resloved man.
