i'm planning on goin to the track soon and have a couple of questions on unbolting your exhaust

- how hard is this to do? difficulty of bolting it back on?
- what are the power gains? how many tenths will you be faster in the 1/4mile?
- is this safe?

any info would be kool and add anything you want to that i should know about.
thanks in advance.

5 minutes, at most. It takes 2 bolts right infront of the rear passenger side suspension to unbolt it. I think the bolts are 14mm, but I can't remember for sure. The nuts are welded onto the exaust flange, so all you need to take off are the two bolts with springs on them, then pull the uniion apart. The exhaust should be fine where it is, but it's easy to take off, too. I always used WD40 on the hangers, and the exhaust would slide right off the car. Reinstallation is the reverse, also really easy.

You won't gain much power, some but not all that much. I can't give you a time inprovement.

if you have a GTS you'll feel power increase in the second cam.

it'll add at least a few tenths to a mph or two for trap speed if you get a few runs in.
