I'm thinking of getting the CompuStar 2W900FMR, but I'm not sure what aftermaths it might have on my car and I have a 2005 GT-S 6 speed.

And is this system considered a reliable after market alarm system?

Thx

the only way it could void your warrentee is if it affects the thing you are trying to get fixed. IE it will not affect anything if you have a problem with yourexhaust welds breaking but it might if you short out your ecu of do other damage caused by the item you install.

Its a good alarm, made in korea!
Not very good range though.
Had mine for 2 years on my previous
celica, now I'm gonna install another
computerstar on my new 04 celica.
The only problems I had with it was a bad
pager sensor and shock sensor, both replaced
free under warranty.

Fair price to pay is $400 total. I hear some people get
it done for as low as $350 on a celica.

I would stay away from it. I dont like the quality. I would stick with a viper or anything made exclusively by Directed Electronics. I'm an installer for best buy and had my fair share of all the alarms put out. So far DEI out does them all in quality, reliabilty, and performance.

Go compustar!
viper is very good, compustar is better in quality and customer service, no authorized installer bs to prove.
If you have a defective part, you mail it in, and they send you
a new one. No receipt and what not required...

the reason why most ppl chose compustar over viper or clifford is simply because you cant use the remote start feature in the manuals with DEI alarms. the compustar has a built in turbotimer which takes care of the issue. i know many ppl that have the compustar and its pretty good, im gonna get mine installed over the summer. i use to have a clifford matrix rsx3.5 on my previous gt and it was good, but the range on that compared to the compustar sucks. the only thing i like about the clifford or viper alarms is the size and quality of the pager, i find the compustar one a little too bulky.

I just got my compustar installed. It's working fine so far, but I havent really tested out the range on the pager. I was told that it had a 2 km radius, but I'm skeptical about it. And the auto start is great for these cold Canadian winters.

Oh, and which part of the car will this alarm void?
My starter?
