Well, I've had several sets of these before for use on the street. They're DECENT but not the greatest.... I just always seem to get them in wheel/tire packages I purchase. At the very least they last hella long. Last night was the first time I've ever tried them on the track tho, and I've gotta say they suck ass compared to the stock Yoks which I've been using up until now. My 60fts went from the 2.3 range to consistent 2.5s! Boy talk about a lack of traction... they wouldn't grab at a high enough rpm so when the tires would finally hook the engine would bog.
Oh wells, I know these weren't made for track use, but hell I expected more outta them. The thing that sucks is that I requested a set of NT555s, but ended up with NT450s by mistake (don't worry I didn't pay the difference for the NT555s)... I shoulda just taken the Continental Sport Contacts I was originally going to get. :(
Overall, it's a good "sporty" tire for the street that will last a long time. But time and time again, when I've put them to the test on demanding turns, and now the dragstrip, they don't hold up to the task well.
Just passing on the info because ppl seem to ask about these every once in awhile. :gap:
