Hm. Well 39 is stock. I wouldn't go much higher than 44 I suppose.

so howcome 51 offset doesn't fit? I saw this 18 rims that only weigh 14.++lbs. They prolly cost $500 each but I want to make sure it fits.. Is the wheel gonna stick out or something?

I guess you're talking about the SSR competition rims? Um, I suppose they will stick out 12 mm farther than normal. I guess it's not a huge deal. I've never seen a Celica with rims sticking too far out.. ?

Actually, higher offset means the wheel will move in...in this case, the inside edge will move toward the center of the car 12mm plus half the increase in width (the increase over 6.5").
I really don't think you want those wheels. I would only depart (significantly) from stock offset in order to avoid rubbing...in this case, the 51mm might actually cause rubbing (on the inside...maybe on the strut in the front...or on other things when turning hard)
One potential solution if you must have them: Use spacers. However, you might need some pretty thick ones, which might require new studs as well.

hmmm.....for $500 per rim, I have to go thru all that buying spacers and new studs.....might not be worth it. From all of them SSR wheels, the "SSR competition" is the only one that doesn't fit. Might do some more searching...
Thanks guys..
