im getting an act clutch and toms flywheel hopefully this week.
i was quoted 400 on install and i wanted to see if i could do it.
i called up my buddy and he has all the tools and has changed a clutch in his friends integra.
i asked him if he would do it and he said ok but he need a manual for this car...
i would love to save 400 bucks and do it this way but how hard is it to do?
where can i get a manual for that?
thanks guys

The mannuals you can get from just about any dealership and i'm sure poeple like bottle have them also. I've never done a clutch on other cars but if you have someone w/ expereince you should be able to do it in like 3-4 hrs if you don't run into problems. The hardest thing about taking it out was messing w/ the rear mount cause there not alot of room back there. Getting the tranny back allways took alittle fighting but overall it a very doable project w/ the mannuals and some experienced help.
Good luck :)

At your local toyota dealership. Costs about 100 dollars I believe.

For a backyard mechanic I would allow 1 full day for removal annd 1 full day assembly. Even if he has done it on an Integra.
The shop manual is $70 or $80 from Toyota, get Volume 2. So, now your savings is down to $320 and you dn't get a warranty.

The actually installation of the clutch is easy, the tranny removal and install is the hard part.

my friends family owns a shop..one sunday morning we opened it up so we could install my clutch, well it took us almost the whole day to do it. It was harder to put the transmission back than to take it out.
