Went last year, lots and lots of cars. I believe I was the only celica there hehe.

It drives pretty good. Exhaust is quiet as hell, waiting on c2 to see what he comes out with. The engine has loud piston slap, which hopefully will quiet down after breakin.

oh cool, yeah i was looking at that too. After shipping charges going custom might be cheaper, but we'll see what he has to offer.

What this is is just a huge meet of everyone local. Last time there was also an auto-x going on in the other half of the lot. I think it was the porsche club or the bmw club I forget. If you've ever been to bald hill, it's just like that. Everyone just parks their car and opens them up for show and you walk around. The fun part is really the drive down there, you'll meet up with other caravans on the road, course there is a bit of spirited driving, but the cops do know about this event and do stalk the caravans. Best not to get there too fashionably late, the "cool" ricers show up late and crash the event with I'm cool burnouts and stuff that usually make the cops break up the event and kick everyone out.

It would be cool to meet up at like Roosevelt Field or something and caravan down.

I was supposed to go to this last year but I had to work. It's supposed to be AWESOME!! I'm pretty sure it's a routinely weekend thing during late spring and into summer, just not as "big" as this one time thing.

Hell yea, im goin to this. I remember last year. There was cars all over the place. It got broken up before we even got down there. Louie-We gotta do this early this year. No Hooters lot for 2 hours. haha even tho it was still fun. That lot was packed with cars and there was cars all over the roads.

Ha, same here. I just installed mine this afternoon with zip ties. I didn't want to take the chance, I got lucky these past 4 months.

Just leave yours on the dashboard, that's how I was getting by.

I went today. Tobay was shut down. I was with my friend who has a z06 and he's friends with all these guys that have ferraris.

I didn't rep my Celica, 'cause well... it wasn't washed, the bumper is cracked, and it's just needs some work.

Whelp what a nice f* up this was. Word is that whoever organized it didn't tell the town so they closed tobay lot. Eventually word got out that everyone was hanging out at Oak Beach about 10 miles east of tobay. At 2pm cops said that was enough and kicked everyone out for being in a public lot. Then I think everyone heading to another captree beach lot. It was ok, not a bad time to spend on a really nice sunday afternoon. Met Joe heh, "whoa you have a turbo?" hehe, too bad didn't have a chance to give him a ride.

i had to settle on visiting the BMW autoX session at the colisium. my back left rotor was too cut up for me to come. i could have come but i would have been the laughed at everytime i held brakes.

they are loud as hell when there is absolutly no brake pad left and the rotor is cut up :sadpace:

turns out that they changed the location last minute to fool the cops but it ended up splitting a lot of the crowd between Oak Beach and Captree Park.

I was at Roosevelt Field at 10:50-11:10. I didn't see any Celica's, I saw a crapload of RX-8's, civic's, and VW's though. They must have had some kind of meet. I left at 11:10 to get a quick car wash cuz my car was covered in bird doody. When i got back, still no Celica's. Mike called me back an hour later and told me he was at the coliseum. But I didnt meet up with him cuz I was shopping in the mall already. Lou called me too, but by this time it was 130p, and I told him it was probally broken up already. Good thing I didn't go.. based on what m0rgue is saying, he came back from Tobay at 12pm... same time I was still at the mall searching for peeps. :D

Well, we heard about Tobay bein' shutdown early... like 9:00 in the morning. Got to Captree around 9:30 and was there til about 11:00. Met up with Ferrari's and scoped out the AutoX for a little bit at 12 at the coliseum and then headed back to Captree again, until we left around 1:45.

The meet was great and it was expected that they were going to close Tobay. I got there exactly at 12PM and there were so many sweet cars on the parkway. I went to Captree and easily found parking. I can't wait for the next meet

haha yea it was good to meet you. That was funny, when we drove away i was like "hold up, that cars blowin off..." Turbo??? mmmmmm haha Hopefully i can get a ride next time. Sorry i dipped at the end. I hung out for a minute to see if you guys showed up again but that cop was chillin right by us for a while on the speaker tellin us to go. I didnt need any more heat on me so i rolled out slowly. All in all it was fun, a little running around never hurt anyone, except for the fact that it split the whole crowd up. It was a good way to start the season.
