Hmm...the owners manual says not to do the first oil change until 7000 miles - that seems a bit much to me! Have most of you waited that long?
Anyway, I'd like to go full synthetic as soon as possible, but I know that doing so too early won't allow the seals to set properly. Is 1k too soon?
Thanks!

Change at 1000 miles with dino juice, then wait another 3000 miles, then go synthetic.

The answer to your question is yes. 1k miles is too early first off to change your oil , second to switch to synth. Synth doesn't let your rubber seals in your engine age normally, which is why most people will use synth because of longer life...However your seals need to expand and age a little when the engine is new. The exceptions to this rule are Corvettes and some other cars that come preinstalled from the factory with Mobil 1. They use a different type of rubber for their seals.

wait till at least 10 to 15 k to change .synthetics keep fings form seating properly and can actually stop ring seating .you wont have to worry about seals then itll use so much oil youll need to tie off to a tanker truk........ps vary your engine speed a lot and get into it from time to time dont get any where near redline..
