Anyone have some opinions about the new 2006 Lexus IS. Layla was thinking about getting one when it is released this fall. I personally don't know too much about them, they definately changed the look of the IS. At first glance the front reminded me of a mix of an SCION tC and a Corolla. The rear reminds me of an Acura TSX.

All I know is that it will come in a RWD IS 250, AWD IS 250 and a RWD IS 350(300hp).

the pointed front kinda reminds me of a s2k. i liked the first gen design better, even though it reminds me of a riced out civic.

i'm not such a big fan of it right now.. but it's probably one of those cars that has to grow on me. after all .... i didn't like our celica when it first came out =P but it looks hot now haha.

i'd take the new gs over the new is, the black one at the show was nice

when i was in japan, the altezza was thrown into "netz" of japan. i dont know what the real idea is behind regrouping toyota's car like they do in america, but from what i saw, all the cars in "netz" where pretty cheapy...the vitz, the A and B scions, and other economy cars. toyota japan is also gearing up for a lexus too. i dont know which cars will fall under lexus.

Me too! When I first saw the Celica, I was like, "what the hell did they do!?" I'm always late on the trends..
