whats up i just want o here some cool stories im bored and i this guy i know was tellin me about when he had a celica he had a 89 celica gt-s and he said he was doing 115 mph and had a blowout...and he went spinning across the highway...just wanted toi heara few stories and if its ever hapoopend to anyone and what the outcome was..idk im bored beyond beliefe today....anyone tell me some true stories..

Here's a true story about a blow out that will make you think twice driving on tires with steels showing.

My co-worker/friend was driving his 4x4 toyota pickup down to get some new tires on it. He had been putting it off for a few weeks now and was riding on bare wires on some parts. He was on his way to the tire shop and on the freeway, he had a blow out.

His front passenger side tire blew and he lost control. He traveled from the fast lane, across 2 other lanes of traffic and flipped and rolled his truck. He ended up in the hospital on life support, but didnt make it. We lost a good friend and co-worker that day due to procrastionation.

Needless to say, I highly recomend making sure all your tires are in great condition. If not, get them replaced ASAP.

hey MR2 Quik, thats a sweet mr2 you have! have you dyoned it? have you run it at the track? any 1/4 mile numbers for us to see? do you race at all? if so what kind of cars have you beat?

Well, I have ran it at the track and my best time was a 13.8 @ 107 mpg. THat was with a blown HG, bad 2nd gear syncro and bald tires. It is currently in the shop getting rebuilt and tuned right. They are going to run it at 25+ psi and get 450+ rwhp out of it. Plans on being the next 11 sec MR2.

As for the Dyno, we dyno'd it once untuned at 11 psi, but kept leaning out at WOT. Here's the DYNO

BTW, to post every car we have beat, it would be a long list. Mainly the better cars are early 90 Vette, Ford Lightning, a few Mustang GT's, and my favorite, Ricers :D

wow, thats a sick mr2, MR2 Quik! with that trap speed in the 1/4 you can probably get a low 13sec. 1/4 time. when you get it to the point you want it, and run it at the track get it on video i want to see it!

Yeah, our goal is to be in the 11's with 450+ rwhp at about 25 psi. I will definately get that on film. Now to upload it, I may have someone else do that since I dont know how. :D

Yeah, there seems to be alot of people that are here and that board. That may be why it's such a nice place there. Alot of nice people here that joined there too. Of all the boards I am on, I like ImportForums, Celica and MR2 boards the best. The others are kinda pricky and egotistical sometimes. Piss me off to the point where I leave for a few weeks.
