save some money, put it together before you put your car into a show. if you really need a paint job, go for that first. post pics of your car.

just keep in mind, if your looking for show quality a few things need to be different.

1. you need to be able to do your own body work/motor work, or your gonna pay so much damn money your gonna be broke before it starts. this is why it takes most people a long time to finally get to the "show quailty" point. unless your a doctor or something. lol

2. get another car, if you dont have one already, because show cars are driven every now and then.

3. when you say you have a hefty budget i hope your not kidding. my friend owns a celica, which is about 80% show, he rarely drives it. so far hes got well over 15 grand in it, not including the price of the car. and he built the motor and did ALL the glassing and body work.

4. unless your lookin for just entry level, amateur series shows (which is always cool). before he dumped all that money in he had... full blitz kit molded, greddy exhaust, full tein coilover dampering kit, invader CF hood, 18's gunmetal w/ chrome lip, interior was slightly glassed and painted, racing seats, spoiler (small CF), also had graphics on the car. the way the car used to sit he won over 10 trophies in amateur series.

if this is what you want, go all legit stuff, b/c no one wants to see a damn knock-off or Advance APC spoiler, haha!

i would get rid of whatever kit you have, buy a full Veilside kit, b/c everyone at shows seems to be in love with them, they are nice. mold the kit. shave everything (doors, ant. rear wiper). slam it to the ground with possibly a tein coilover damper kit. get nice 18's. and put a real nice paintjob on it. i could go on for hours, but this is getting annoying.
