God damn now that you say it that did sound like his ribs. Thats what he gets for not being a smart person. He obviously was nowhere near the level it takes to bench that much. He needed 2 guys to hold the weight for him almost the whole time, and as soon as they started to give it to him he couldnt take it. In my opinion if you cant take it off the rack you have no business lifting it.

You obviously dont get my point. Ive seen more time under weights than you can imagine. I dont care if its a teenager trying to impress a girl or a bench press contest...if you cant lift the weight off of the rack, you have NO business lifting it. Just my opinion, I guess I hold higher standards than most! I just dont understand why some guy will ask me for a lift just before hes about to do 10 reps. Just like but far worse is all these guys who work out in gyms all over that have there spotter doing more work then they are doing. It's a joke. I understand the concept thats its a contest but does that mean form doesnt count? Form should count more. And if there worried about spending too much energy JUST lifting it from the rack, then ill say it again, its too heavy for them. haha Just my opinion...carry on!
