power door lock not working???

the passenger power door lock no longer works. i can lock it manually, but using the control panel or my alarm doens't work. i noticed that the sound is different from the driver side door (which works) from the passenger side door (which doesn't work). i've looked inside the door and noticed that when i hit lock on the control panel, there's no hydraulic sound...just a click. i pull on the wires manually and it will lock and unlock.

seems to me it's the device itself, not any loose connections.

can anyone help me with a solution?

you're probably going to have to crack open your door panel to see what's wrong with it.

do you have an alarm? If so does it still work? I currently have a wack ass alarm that died on me for about 4 months now. Since it was connected to the power door locks, that too is out. So I've been getting in my car these past few months with my key and have to manually close it when I'm inside.

i do have an alarm and it still works. i've opened the door and checked out the insides. i couldn't pull out the device so all i could do is compare to the other door. only difference was sound. (besides the fact that it didn't lock/unlock).
