i know that this question has prob been asked before but stock on stock which would win? 02 gts or 00 gsr... the rev limiter is a factor but there are always other ways to drive a gst to get around that.... thx for info

The GT-S still has an advantage over GS-R. GT can hang with GS-R. With mods, it comes down to drivers. Now come on man, go do some research on your cars. published specs that I am aware of

GT-S 180hp

GS-R 170hp

I think GT-S produces just a bit more torque plus it is a lighter car.

I think they are pretty evenly matched. However I have not seen a stock 02 GTS' run low 15's yet, which is very possible w/ GSR's.

GT can hang with GS-R.

Um... no it cant. Even with intake/headers/exhaust, the GT would barely be able to "hang" with a Civic Si. I mean i/h/e isnt going to add anywhere near 30 horsepower to the GT. You'll be lucky if you get 15 horsepower from those mods. That ups the horsepower to 155... I've run against GS-R's, and there is really no competition... And trust me,... i can drive. 1st gear I always beat them by 2 car lengths... when they hit 2nd gear, then we are about 1.5 car lengths...and the second they shift into 3rd... they pass me by like I was standing still. I've never raced an Si...so i cant really say what the outcome would be...but i think it would still pull out the win.

You add 30 hp to a GT, and it still won't "hang" w/ a GSR. It has awsome gearing.

I wouldn't call the GSR's gearing awesome. It matches the engine fairly well, but it's a little too wide. I would probably get the GSR too. I think it has more potential than the 02 GTS. That rev limiter thing would bug me to no end.

The word "awsome" is very subjective.
I was comparing it to my GT. It hung with me "fairly well":)

one of my friend has a GSR, good at powershifting..

this imbarassing but true.. I suck at driving my GT-S, and my shifter is so stiff comparing to his GSR acura shifter....

he beat my 00 GT-S with me driving it.. I need to do somethingabout my shifting.. At the drag strip, I ran 15.4mph 1/4mile
and he ran 15.6mph 1/4mile time, which was he's first time at the track..

I think's it's all about driver...
one of my other friend has 99 M3, sometimes I could keep up with his car if he mess up a little thing..
