i raced my stang (a solid 11.60 car on the motor) against a gsxr750 (a solid 10.80 bike) and i worked it... ritcheous street kill... not every driver has balls of steel or honed skills.

as for this vid... the bike let up- dont fool yourself.

well he does have built motor and built tranny atleast 300+WHP along with light weight... But then the Soceur is sitting in the passenger seat so not sure how light that car is anymore :gap:
I am sure if the bike had a better rider on it it can do better... I see it backs off when it start to make a slow right turn on the road.

Eh. No offense, but he had to have been a REAL bad rider, or just trying to push you a long. My friend has a 750 GSXR, and he can pull on a Supercharged 350Z (417wHP 370TQ), not hard, but its a constant pull to catch up, not to mention he can top off easily around 185MPH. I have to go with King Torq, he definitly let off, if he was even giving it 100% throttle. The new 750 GSXR's are even more powerful then previous.

full throttle and stayed even,... then the last gear when you 'pulled' is where i believe the biker let off-
this last gear for both of you, reqired no shifting (it was just a long gear pull) and he simply did not full throttle at this last pull, check the bikes nose for weight transfer.... and even his body- he starts leaning up,... he let up when you left him...

How nice that I been riding bikes for 20 years now and only sold my r1 2 years ago. So the 750 gixxer WAS owned for sure the big mistake he prolly made that he underestimated us and did not change back from 6th gear.
185 for the 750 is not possible at all or it takes forever to get there ( or his tacho is cheating BAD) even less is hard or he has to rev all gears to get there.
Sorry to say but he was surely owned ;)

why don't u guys just believe this.

whether the gixxer could have beat him or not, gas' car is definitely faster than most of ours here!!!
believe me, i know it ;)

what would the celi trap in the 1/4? what does the gix trap in the 1/4?

hey evil its soceur man. not sure if u just wanted to know the times for comparison or what, but not sure what gas would trap right now, and im sure the bike would make a 12-13sec pass, but as it were the race wasnt from a stop it was on a roll. Remember there are cars that from a stop u wouldnt want to touch, and then there are cars that would eat previous said cars for lunch on a roll:) Im guessing thats what happened here. I mean I myself was like no way, until it happened.

I don't see the problem. Gas got the jump, and the bike probably didn't downshift. Happens in cars too, you don't properly downshift into lift, and some honda gets a few cars on you and you can't catch up :gap:, and turbo'd celicas have a higher top speed don't they since they can now pull in 6th.

I dont believe he went full throttle, Ive seen a 750 murder a 400+whp mustang. A 750 tops out around 200 mph. Just saying, not that I dont believ that it can be done

I dont believe in my race the gsxr was full out either, as his nerve ran out. his second pulled on me bad, but it was catchup as i was way ahead in first, and in his third and fourth, his shifts were slow and i believe he was spooked by the speeds... and prolly 3/4ed it.
Noting: a side by side race, shifted and launching is a diff. story then the rolling long gear full throttle pull that was supposedly happening in the video. I admit the bike is faster than my stang, and faster than the turbo toy in the vid,. but the driver did not have the nerve or will to drive the bike the way it can be driven. He lifted so to speak, looking at his front tire in the vid one can see that... But yes, if you race and he lifts, fine you win, but note what that really tells you and does not tell you-

still you guys don't get it. if we were to race in our celicas, that bike would be about a mile ahead of us in a couple of seconds. for him to have to downshift to keep up with him, thats crazy in itself. i gotta give you props cause that was tight.
