I am looking for some decent price rims that are as light as possible. I am looking for 15-16" rims. What rims would you guys suggest?

Rota Subzero.
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/racinglab/rotwheelsub1.html
15x6.5, 5x100, 38mm offset, 12.9lbs, only $510 for all 4...I don't know how you can beat that combo. :burnout:

I have a set of SSR Integral A2's in 16x7.5 wheels for sale. They are SSF forged and about 15lbs each. Much stronger than the Kosei's and the Rotas. They are used but in great condition. Over 1000 new without tires. I would sell for 700 with Bridgestone S-03's that are on there. I live in Los Angeles too.

E-mail me at Diesel303@excite.com

Don't doubt it...just curious...in what situations do you think it would matter?

the strength on the SSR's would pay off if you have to drive it on bad roads with pot holes. I know of a couple people that drove the Kosei's on the street and one guy bent one really bad, the other actually shattered.

I bet they are like ten pounds at most. They had plastic hubs over them.

I seriously doubt it. I bet they're more like twice that.

I've only seen them in 17" sizes and at $250+ per wheel...that doesn't fit the criteria too well.

What about the Konig(?) Heliums? They only come in 15" and they're about 14lbs or something. I have a really bad memory. :)

Thanks for all the input.

4B- thanks for the offer but I don't want steels. I have checked the weight of some and they we're about 20lbs.

HyperspaceGTS - Thanks for the offer too. I like the rims but the only one's that I would like from SSR are the competitions. Thanks.

The rims I have decided on are the Rota sub-zero's I found for 450 shipped at www.machiii.net or the Flik Apex from www.edgeracing.com They both weigh about 13lbs and are about the same price shipped. What rims would you guys get?

The "apex" looks like a Volk TE-37 knock off and the "sub-zeros" a Racing Heart CP-035 knock off. IMO, the apex wheel looks nicer. The subzero looks cheap.

the apex have a 40 offset. wouldn't that make your wheel look really tucked in?

is it jsut me or do ppls just doesn't care about offset? with 40+ offset, your wheels gonna look so tucked in compared to stock. reminds me of steve urkel's car hehe.

And if the new wheel's any wider than stock, it will stick out of the wheelwell more than stock.

According to the latest SCC wheel guide, the 15×7 Gram Lights 57C is 13lbs, and the 17×7.5 57C is only 15.8lbs.

I don't know how much the other Gram Lights wheels weigh.

I'd now guess the SCC 17" weight is a missprint, judging by the weights SCC listed for the smaller size GramLights.

But I still wouldn't call the 17" GramLights 57C wheels heavy. They are lighter than the stock 16" wheels :gap:

I have the 17" Gram Lights 57C and they are not 18lbs. They are 17lbs at most.

If you aren't racing, it isn't really gonna matter too much. I guarantee if i put you in a car that had 15 lb 17s, and then we swapped the setup to 20 lb 17's, 99 percent of the people wouldn't notice the difference if they weren't told about the switch

I have 15 inches rota slipstream for race only. A bit lighter than subzero but need spacers. They are rated below 12 lbs and fit nice with a 3mm spacer + hubcentric ring. No problem at all. 450$ also at machii.net. You can trust them. Good price, good service and free shipping ;)

As for the flik, I wanted them since they are even cheaper and look a bit nicer but I thought they were no more available in 15 inches. Only 16 ins available.

there are more than 1 type of gramlights, of course the two piece design will weigh more than the 1 piece...
