I have recently become interested in upgradeing the performace of 2001 Celica GT-S and i have a few questions.
1. Is the stock exhaust on the 2001 Celica the same as the TRD exhaust? (It looks the same)
2. What intake seems to work the best? and Do you have to use a custom pipe for it?

The TRD exhaust is different from the factory exhaust. The diameter of the piping on the TRD exhaust is a little bigger and the tip is different too. Stand next to a Celica with a TRD exhaust and you'll heard the difference.

AEM and Injen makes the best intakes. Do yourself a favor and don't get knockoff brands like the ones they sell on ebay. Everything they you need is included with the intakes. No need for custom tubing.

Checkout Borla.com. They turned me on to a dealer in CA that sold it to me for $400 shipped. Got in 3 days. Its awesome. They have been used on all the german torque monsters for a long time. I put their new cat-back on my gts-ss and it really roars. Borla is the Anti-rice. Real throaty and their specs are probably close to the rice burners like Kazuma etc. Injen is the best CAI - check the specs they are tried and true.
