I m sure Andy's done similar things but result didn't turn out as well as he expected
it's all custom job I need to do...sorry if it's too pricey

Wait so if it's not painted bulbs then what is it? an bunch of LED's that you put together?

maybe what he does is put blue/red tinted film over the back of the a/c controls. so the paint doesn't burn off the bulb. i was contemplating this when i was changing my clock color. i used transparant colored film to do this.

i can solder i just need to know what leds go where and thats it if he puts a kit togetjer like with all the leds needed and maybe a few extra in case of a mess up and he writes up some instuctions it can't be that hard maybe time consumming but not impossible

there are instructions for this..lemme find it....

All he is sending you is a kit of the little surface mount LED's that are on the Circuit board in your gauge cluster. The LEDs (lights)are very small and expensive. I priced them and he's selling them for about the same that they were selling them for but not in bulk. The Blue LED's are more expensive coz it's harder to make. He's not going to install them for you you need to get someone W/ soldering skills to do it for you coz it's not as easy as changing a regular light bulb.

candy apple red paint, sprayed on the bulbs..>> i found a new way to do this though....and it would be a more permanent mod, not just until the paint burns off the bulb. all u gotta do is go out and get transparant film in the color u need, like transparant wrapping paper. and cover the back of ur center console where u want it in a certain color. i can do this for ya'll, just ask me and we can meet up, and i won't charge ya'll 50 bucks to do this. results are neato

Banana I don't think you realize that the LED's are about $3-$5 each that's normal for them too. He's not really charging that much to install them. Bu yes on top of the price for the LED's it is hard as hell to install surface mount LED's W/O the right tools

Well guys it doesnt look like I'll be making to Houston for Skunks work on my LEDs. Toyota still has my car in the shop waiting on shims for the cams and theyre on back-oder from what I was told. I even tried to go up there and just pull my gauges and the other stuff but they wouldnt let me take anything out of the car until its done. Sorry guys, maybe I'll see some of you Saturday at the park.

Damn 4 peeps were waiting Sam was on his way, and a few others were on their way. Even tho my celi was in the shop I was going to buy yhe LED's and do it myself. I've done a fair ammount of surface mount component soldering so I could do it myself.

He already broke my car and won't pay for repairs. even though he promised in writing. i am filing a lawsuit against him. don't let him touch your center console. he doesn't know what he's doing at all. he tried many times to fix the problem and i've taken it to a repair place for an estimate and he was WAY off as to what the problem was. if he breaks your gauges, you'll be out about a thousand dollars and there's nothing you can do. he won't honor a contract with you so thats no good. you can only sue like i plan on doing.

people should just do the right thing. if you say you're going to be somewhere be there. or if you're late call. or if you can't show up call. if you say you'll pay for the repair then do it. don't be a liar. i wouldn't do business with him. buy the leds from someone else and do it yourself. or have a local, professional business that can guarantee do it.
