Raised CF Hood Scoop

Ok... I put my cf hood on along with the raised scoop and the scoop fit fine... Then I realized I didn't put that black metal part that goes underneath on... Now it gaps a little bit... Do you all have that metal piece that attaches to the scoop or did you just leave it off?

I've installed " that black metal part" (air deflector) with my raised scoop.
You probably don't really need it but, it does give the scoop a nice overall finished look.

Can't you shave the mounting points of the deflector on the scoop a bit to acomodate the thickness of it to eliminate the gap?

its on... and that is the problem... it makes the front of the scoop gap when it is on....

so what good does it suppose to do for your car? supposedly? block **** from gettin in through your scoop?
