I'm in the process of fitting my Kam kit on my 04 GT and am having all kinds of problems with the front bumper. The corners of the kit that slide into the white clips are too big and need to be sanded down, the fog lights don't fit into the cut-outs, the bottom of the bumper isn't long enough to reach the engine plastics, and the top of the bumper (right above that little vent) sticks up about 3/4 of an inch over the hood! This is an authentic PU bumper, I thought fitment was supposed to be close to perfect? Has any body else had these problems?

I have heard about the engine plastics issue before. zip ties are your friend.

You will search and find everyone has these issue. Forget about the engine plastic attachment as far as I'm concerned. I took mine off and have not had a problem. I know a couple of people have solved this, but I didn't care to. Yes, the clips on both sides need to be sanded down, but that is really easy to do. The foglight won't fit, because you don't have it aligned properly in the upper front. this could be because of the unsanded clips.

all i had to do was sand down the bumper where it meets the white clips. that is all

Well it's at the body shop now, I gave up on it. Hopefully once they get the corners in the white clips the fog lights will line up better. I'm not sure about the top though, it seems really out of shape. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Are there any problem areas with the sidekirts and rear?

Your fogs are not lining up because you have an '04 which comes with a different bumper and fog lights that are in a different location. The Kam is ment to go on a '00-02. You need to move the fogs.

Yeah I realize the 03+ have different bumpers but I was told by Kaminari that it will fit fine. I know there has got to be some 03+ owners on here with a Kam Kit, what did you guys do about with the fogs? And Kaminri is really backed up right now, getting another bumper could take a month, and I already waited 4 weeks to get this one. What a bummer.

well for the fog lights u will have to relocate them or take them off, because the positioning of the fog lights is different beetween the 02 to 03 models they have totally different brackets and loctions

i have an 03 and have hte kaminari kit.. no problem with fitment other than the fog lights.. but you have to reposition them.. not too big a deal.. but they dont fit right cuz of the new front bumper style
I installed my own Kam front and never had any problems with the engine plastics and the front sticking out.

Yeah that was me -- the folks at Kaminari USA were cool though -- they sent me out a new rear bumper when I sent them the pics of the origional distorted rear bumper -- They replaced if for free (even shipping) and told me not to send the other one back. Other than that -- I had to do some minor filing and sanding and the kit was A-OK -- I had it off for a while I just put it back on and it still fits pretty well. Good luck
wow so you got a gree rear bmper awesome.
