Hey, i was looking at lomeinhu's post on the tokyo mega showroom, and i was surfing that site, and found this gay ass commercial for our celica... OMG ... song is so gay...but thats japan pop culture i guess. hehhehe

ah I didnt think it was so bad.
The music was kinda lame, but got lots of good looks at the car from alot of different angles.
the tunnel lights thing was kinda cool too :D

It might be the video or me, but did you guys see that it had black side markers on some of the live action scenes with the silver celi? And plus theres no badge except a toyota badge on the front. It's also interesting they a celi without a spoiler.

Thats what i meant... the song was gay... hahaha...
some of the cars in there are CG .... so thats why maybe its a black side marker...
and i think the advert is pretty old, hence the no spoiler. But i could be wrong

Did anyone notice that the silver celica without the spoiler looks like it's dropped? When they pan around from the back to the side when it's turning left.

I would take this commercial any day over our current "looks fast commercial" it was an okay clubbing song, but made the car feel like it was for girls. :gay:

At least the commercial showed the car performing, instead of looking like it was performing. :rofl:

I dont think it was a commercial. There would have been some sort of voice over and text graphics for sure. And also, japanese commercials aren't that long. It looks very amateur too.

I've done film production, it was amateur, a combo of video clips and I also believe the blue celi at the end is CGI. Probably a college class homework assignment.

Haha that was the averagest compilation i've ever seen :P
The DDR music makes me think of the game where ur all hyper and ur dancing around and crap but that video is so calm and unexciting. The shots where it pans along the side of the car remind me of the initial D intro :P
They shoulda put some video of me "drifting" to make it more exciting :P

Pretty lame.. especially the computer generated parts with the car driving.. ugh..

I agree with CelicaDetective - it looks like someone's class project.. I do some video work for a living and the timing of the editing on this thing is pretty poor.. :) Oh well.

Can't really talk much since the Preludes' had that commercial with the hula-dancer doll on the dashboard "dancing" around as someone put a Type SH through it's paces.. heh..
