I'm a regular on Celica.net ... heard much about NC.org but i haven't really been here to often... well anyway... i'm from Virginia, Newport News... i was just curious if anyone else lived close by somewhere.... and is there anything going on in this area?... i know the nopi nationals will be held in va aug 17+18..

BlackGts (Tim) lives down in the VA beach area. There's no less than a handfull of people down there and they check in on this forum too sometimes.

Crazy D!! I used to live over in Newport News too! I just moved over to Va. Beach in November and we have a whole pack of Celi's running around over here! In fact, three of us live in the same house, and we have five that live within a mile of each other I work over in Hampton at the Eckerd at the corner of Kecoughtan Rd. and Lasalle, I will be there all this weekend, stop in sometime!:burnout:

i'm not to familiar with va beach but i could find any street without any problems... lol now that you mention letting me slide... something happend to me tonight... i was driving home and this really nice looking prelude showed up.. clear taillights, lazer blue headlights, white car... really nice looking.. (1996?) model... anyway... he starts following m closely cause he saw what car i drive.... so i speed up and he follows closely... somehow h managed to get two cars ahead of me in my lane and i could barely see him.. so i'm about to make a left toward my house when i see that he's the first one at the stop light and there's only one car behind him.. so i think ah what the heck i'll try... when the light turned green he moved over immediately to let the other car pass... so he was in middle lane while i was in left... well he pulled over one more cause i had a car in front of me... so he was in the right and just as i changed into middle it's like we both were thinking the same thing... we took off at the same time... traffic was clear no danger... we started off at about 40mph... well we went all the way up to 90 and i was with him all the way through... at 90 he started pulling away because he obviously had a stick shift and he had more gears... sports-shift is only 4 gears :( ... i know he was stick shift cause i saw the car jerk everytime gears changed and he did a small peel out while driving after we raced.... so i think the automatic gt-s deserves at least a little respect for keeping up with a stick prelude, which was fixed up nicely i didn't see under his hood, from 40 all the way to 90.... after that he had me big time.. so i lost but i'm happy that my gt-s kept up so long.. we were head to head... :)... let me know about those meets and stuff.. i'll try to make as many as i can
